Wow, and I was thinking of getting GHIII for Christmas, but seeing this awful move done by Activision, I think I will save some more cash to buy Rock Band instead.

Nice move Activision. You made a dick out of yourselves and now have lost a customer of yours. I hope this issue doesn't affect the reputation of Blizzard, seeing that it merged with AV.

I'm glad to see some people can still find a way to blame Sony for this. The fact that you advocate "manning up" as a business move is great as well, I'm pretty sure that if they could release the patch without major repercussions from Activision, they would.

They have to buy guitar hero 3 before even being able to use the guitar anyway! (since no separate yet) so where's the loss? You have your sale (which is what we mean to you ;_;) already.

My opinion is that Sony could solve this by calling up Activision and telling them that if thy want to license any songs from Sony BMG Music for any of their games in the future then they better play ball and let them release the patch.

One thing that always sounded a bit nasty in the GH games instrution booklets was the fact that they demanded you only use their controllers or the systems controller. Now Activision blames Harmonix/EA for not working out a deal with them to make things compatable.
I hope you enjoyed taking a dump on us Activision, because now, most of us will wipe ourselves of your products. The only way to start the healing process is to be consumer friedly and allow the patch to be realeased. Harmonix/EA needs to get the Guitar controllers out ASAP so we can stop bitching about Activision and play more Rockband

You guys disgust me. Think about whats going on here. RB comes with a terrible guitar and equipment but a great idea for a game. The game before RB, GH, created both a quality game and quality equipment. GH is 2 for 2 and RB is 1 for 2 but you are yelling at Activision for not helping RB out. You are asking Activision to help its competitor out. Its not their fault that Harmonix didn't take the time to create decent equipment yet everyone is on their back to make things right. If any of would sit down and think for 5 minutes here whats going on you would see that Harmonix is the one screwing you over, not Activision.

All I would like to say is...SOny should have pulled their head out of their asses from Day one, and made it so that everyones wireless controllers had to Use their internal bluetooth...then compatibility would have been better. As it is, i think its rediculous to have a Wireless controller that has to have a "DONGLE" hanging out of my PS3. It makes a good system look tacky..sorry Sony, and it makes the prephrials look like shit too....yeah thats right harmonix and activision...why couldnt you use sony's internal wireless. Oh, and another piss off...The ps3 gh controller wont even work with my old ps2 GH games in the Ps3. I currently own gh1,2,3 for ps2, GH3 for ps3, 2 origional ps2 guitars..which I cant use in the ps3 either..not without..yes you guessed it ...a dongle to convert to Ps3. And I just bought Rock Band. So now I have 4 guitars, none of which I can play dual with...except on PS2......rediculous...both activision and harmonix, and sony for not making people use YOUR WIRELESS...
