You may have seen an ad on this very site for Uwe Boll's upcoming In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale. Do yourself a favor: Head to the official website, go straight to the "Trailer" section and buckle in for the ride of your life. There's so much to enjoy here, we simply don't know where to begin. Should start by marveling at how Ray Liotta's main display of power seems to be making books spin around? Or is that too obvious?
Should we mention some of the classic lines like "Those who you fight, we will help you fight them" and "Tomorrow we gouge evil from its shell"? Or should we note that while cool in movies like The Transporter, seeing Jason Statham (who's name is misspelled on the "Cast" page, natch) using martial arts in a medieval fantasy setting is totally rad? Honestly, we don't even know what you're still reading this for: You're about to witness the edge of reality.

Even with his Rotten Tomatoes scores added to his Metacritic score, he's still only at an 96 (he's pulling a 5% average on RT).

Come on people, Uwe Boll is just holding his story-telling to the same standards that the video-game industry has set for itselves.
If we want to see better movie adaptations, we have to get better stories in games to begin with.

Uwe Boll is just an evil little man who won't stop making movies until we're all just as miserable as he is.

Statham didn't even seem like he was trying with that line. Perhaps Boll told him to act down?
UB: "No no, Jason, do it again, only this time with a little LESS inspiration."

I haven't watched Lord of the Rings in a while, but I'm pretty sure Bol stole at least three of the models and quite a few more story boards.

Check out the "Crew" write up on the site. That is far better than the trailer could ever hope to be.

At this point, how long do you guys think it will be before we are blessed with a live-action movie about Soni The Hedgehog ?
OMFG, his movies keep getting crappier and crappier ( as if thats even possible).
Uwe Boll couldnt even *nail* the story in a Porn flick !!!!!!

The trailer looks like it uses one of those generic editing formulas Hollywood abuses to give a movie a sense of epic high-budget movie of the year you can't miss.
Due to the lack of creativity, I'm not interested. ESPECIALLY when it involves a certain Boll.

It honestly looks like it will be half decent, considering Boll has himself a nice cast and DIDN'T need to write any story, because there practically is none. What little you have to go off of in the game is just transposed to the screen.

Wow. Kristiana Loken really can't act! She only has one line in the trailer and she still sounds like a robot.
I like the rubber-faced krugen(?) near the beginning. reminds me of the aliens in the opening Jedi Knight cutscenes.
I haven't played dungeon seige as it looked horribly generic, but this movie looks so generic that i'm wondering if it has any connection to the game... and if not why they bothered licensing it?
The downfall of Ray Liotta into caricature continues to be sad to watch.
Where are the dungeons or the seige?
