Today's most inconceivable trailer: Princess Bride trailer
A licensed game for The Princess Bride? Inconceivable! Yet here it is before our eyes, from inconceivably unknown developer Worldwide Biggies (a rather ironic name, come to think of it). Due out in the inconceivable year of 2008, the self-proclaimed downloadable casual title features "over 15 minutes of movie quality animation" spread out over five inconceivable episodes.
The Mac or PC version of The Princess Bride Game will set you back an inconceivable $19.99, or only $16.99 if you pre-order now. Our inconceivable meter just flew through the roof on its way to Inconceivable Land! Still not convinced? Inconceivable! We've embedded the video trailer inconceivably after the break.

You keep using that word. I don't think it means what you think it does.
Ross Miller @ Dec 12th 2007 1:26AM
Thank you. I couldn't say it myself, so I'm glad you took the bait :D
gonk @ Dec 12th 2007 1:37AM
aw you beat me to it
colin @ Dec 12th 2007 3:03AM
i didn't read the article before reading the comments (for shame) so i went back to read it after i saw you say "i don't think it means what you think it does."
i couldn't find the word "penultimate" anywhere!
Richard @ Dec 12th 2007 1:11AM
Soooo, does the game feature anything other than "over 15 minutes of movie quality animation"? 'Cause if so, it'd been nice if the trailer had actually feature some of it.
Tyrus @ Dec 12th 2007 1:18AM
That was pretty painful, I mean it.
Anybody want a peanut?
DG @ Dec 12th 2007 1:23AM
I bet you that if every jackass puts up quotes from the movie, not a single one will be funny.
Inigo Montoya @ Dec 12th 2007 1:37AM
'Alo, my name is Inigo Montoya. You stole my thunder. Prepare to die.
Ethan @ Dec 12th 2007 6:07AM
I am not left-handed either.
waynski1457 @ Dec 12th 2007 6:21AM
Hey Inigo. I hope we win.
Mr Slavio @ Dec 12th 2007 11:09AM
Go away or I'll call the Brute Squad.
Mutant @ Dec 12th 2007 11:33AM
I'm on the Brute Squad!!
Terry @ Dec 12th 2007 11:57AM
You ARE the Brute Squad!
gonk @ Dec 12th 2007 1:38AM
Fezzik, are there rocks ahead?
ColossalHat @ Dec 12th 2007 2:15AM
If there are, we'll surely be dead.
BlackTye @ Dec 12th 2007 1:53AM
'ALO MY NAME IS INIGO MONTOYA, YOU KILLED MY MOVIE, PREPARE TO DIE.
But seriously, this is sacrilege. Now I truly know the depth of "to the pain"
ThePassenger @ Dec 12th 2007 2:24AM
The art style reminds me of the cut scenes in the Zelda games for the CD-I. Not a good thing.
eldee @ Dec 12th 2007 2:33AM

Eldee... that video... hilarious. Thank you.
colin @ Dec 12th 2007 3:07AM
who had a cd-i?
Sihylm @ Dec 12th 2007 11:55AM
I has a CD-i and those games.
It's why, despite having every nintendo console, the only Zelda game I've bought for one was Twilight princess.
All the other CD-i games were pretty decent though. Hotel Mario played pretty similar to other mario games.
gareth @ Dec 12th 2007 2:25AM
Im pretty weary of this game, even though I hope for the best. Theres more to a franchise than just grabbing the name. The characters voices are half the reason you'd do this. The last thing I need to hear is some half assed, low bid voice 'actor' doing his best "my name is inyego montoya...prepare to die" schtick.
I would have to agree with Richard as well, it would be nice to see some gameplay, which the trailer doesnt do. That alone is enough to put me off. YES i realize its a teaser trailer, but the game is already up for pre-sale, and this isnt the high scale Halo game this is an out from nowhere adventure game. you would think they would pack SOME gameplay in there
stik_man @ Dec 12th 2007 12:22PM
There are character voices in books? Wonder how they will get that right.
wait in the car @ Dec 12th 2007 2:45AM
I wouldn't get your hopes up. This is a Dragon's Lair clone at best.
Granteezy @ Dec 12th 2007 2:49AM
WTF?? Whoever pays for games like this to be developed should not be in business.
hvnlysoldr @ Dec 12th 2007 2:57AM
But Westley, what about the ROUS's?
The Rodents Of Unusual Size? Don't believe in them.
(sacked by ROUS)
squeevi @ Dec 12th 2007 3:26AM
DAMN!!! You beat me to an ROUS's quote! LOL!!!
Best. Movie. Ever.
Ihavepants @ Dec 12th 2007 3:19AM
Great, another awesome movie cruelly turned into a terrible game :(
Disgruntled Goat @ Dec 12th 2007 4:29AM
Worst... Wallace Shawn impression... EVER.
It's not like he's busy, either. If your budget doesn't permit you to cast Wallace Shawn for a Princess Bride game, just take the L.
There's a big difference between mostly dead and all dead - and this game is all dead.
Granteezy @ Dec 12th 2007 7:44AM
Shatner is the highlight of this game.
WiNG @ Dec 12th 2007 10:14AM
They should add insult swordfighting, and a SCUMM control system.
Oh, wait.
Bucket @ Dec 12th 2007 11:03AM
NOT TO FIFTY!!
CuteUnit @ Dec 12th 2007 12:18PM
The trailer made me Yay.
I loved the film to bits, in fact it's my number one of all time. Hence any apparently faithful take on it is good news to me!
AoE @ Dec 12th 2007 1:46PM
... why didn't they put any of the movie quality animation into the trailer? Trailer looked like bad/rushed flash animation. Oh... wait... that WAS the "movie quality animation"? >_
