Warhawk expansion Omega Dawn gets price and date

When relatives come to visit for the holidays, it's helpful to have excuses to get yourself out of family activities like tree trimmings or interventions. For example, Eurogamer tells us that on Dec. 20, you'll be able to say "Sorry, Grandma, I can't go to the nickelodeon to watch the new Buster Keaton picture with you, as I just spent my last $7.99 buying the new Warhawk expansion, Omega Dawn."

As she stares at you quizzically, you can explain how the pack adds five new night-time maps and even a new vehicle, the KT-424 Combat Dropship, capable of carrying a pilot and seven soldiers. As you explain the pack in detail, she'll drift off to sleep with visions of a young Robert Loggia dancing in her head, and you'll be free to get back to the important business of insulating yourself from loved ones.

Great expansion and perfect pricing. Consider it bought.

I can't wait for this, but I have quite a backlog of other games that need attention that I may have to put off on getting this and hope for a price drop.

You DO have to admit, it is rather upsetting.

yeah?? but in Feb 2008 those maps for Halo3 will be FREE. how is Sony going to beat that??

ps- I have both systems, and while WarHawk is a blast but I prefer Halo3. will probably get the WarHawk pack sometime in the future--after my friends and I tire of RockBand.

I don't really find it upsetting. Overall, Halo 3 is the more complete game anyway. I just figured people would be bitching about it.

Granted, I don't think you'll find too much crossover between Halo 3 owners / players, and Warhawk owners / player... So I guess there isn't much outrage after all.

You would think halo3 would have alot more retards playing then warhawk. WRONG. It is amazing how many times I die from my own teammates killing me. That is the deciding factor of why i play Halo way more

correction? I think the dropship holds 7 total, not pilot + 7.

it's 1 new night time map and 5 new configurations of the 5 original maps.

I know the dropship can hold a vehicle also so maybe the vehicle can have a driver as well?

it would be hilarious to pick up a jeep with an enemy in it. this pack might get me back to playing warhawk... CoD4 has been too addictive

or dopping one on your enemies that is covered in mines!!

I think that's what it is.

Dropship is pilot + 6.
Expansion comes with 1 new (and huge) map with 5 configurations, and an additional configuration for each of the current maps to incorporate the dropship (but it might just be a tweak for each of the maps largest configurations to incorporate the dropship).

It also adds some "Heavy Support Cannon" thing, but I don't know if that's the big machine guns on the dropship or if its something else.

I'd just like to reiterate that this is the date of release for the UK PSN store, we still dont have a confirmed date for the US store. I can only hope its actually tomorow, since we seem to get stuff before them?

Can't wait. I've said it before, and I'll say it again--Warhawk is one of the best multiplayer games of all time.

I've wondered how Robert Loggia's name was spelt ever since it was mentioned in Family Guy.

i saw on another website that it was going to be released next thursday for the uk and the us. if that is the case, next thursday i will probably play the game for at least 5 days straight. that new level looks AWESOME!!!! totally worth $8
