About three too many gay jokes for me. Usually he's hilarious, but man, do you have the beat the homophobic jokes to death? One to start and the last one would have been fine, but dude, geez.

I wholeheartedly agree with Yahtzee on this one. I've beaten GH and GH2 on Expert, five-starred a decent number of their songs, and GH3 floored me. That shitty Slipknot song is where the difficulty just ramps up and the game isn't fun anymore (except Cliffs of Dover).

Freebird on Expert was really tough but doable. Devil went down to Georgia? FUCKING HELL.

GH3's approach to being "hardcore" is kinda like playing Mario on the NES without power-ups, the run button, or any extra lives. And blindfolded.

Suck it up. Play a lower difficulty level. I beat the first two GH games on Expert with little effort, so it was nice to be thoroughly challenged for once.

I still prefer GH II, but Expert is just that... For once, they made the hardest difficulty TRULY difficult. How can you fault them for that? If it is too much, go back to Hard until it's easy for you... That's what I did.

I haven't tried this Raining Blood song on Hard yet.

But I finally beat Through The Fire And Flames on hard.
It's a lot of fun to play, but I'll never touch it on Expert.

Fuck Raining Blood. I've forced my way through every other song on the last tier of expert, but an hour of frustration couldn't get me through it.

If that's how Activision is going to make future GHs, I hope they're comfortable with watching its fanbase shrink down to a niche audience while everybody else plays Rock Band.

Also, I'd like to add that difficulty should be the last thing you choose before playing a Co-op set. Or better yet, allow you to set the difficulty per song.

There's nothing more frustrating than picking expert mode and the other guy picking freaking Dragonforce. Either you have to go back, lower your difficulty and snooze through the other songs just to pass TTFAF, or you have to break your hands in an attempt to not fail while the other guy pecks at an easy level note chart.

My roommate's been playing GH since the original and can't beat One or Raining Blood on Expert. (Though he did 5* Number of the Beast). Hell, when I was about to whip the guitar through the wall getting past 4* on Raining Blood - ON EASY - he took a shot at it and barely made it.

Fuck Slayer.

That was one of Yahtzee's best one's yet. Sometimes it seems like he's talking shite just for the sake smelling the poop, but this one is pretty legit and represents how that majority of us feel about the difficulty of the game.

I had such great satisfaction saving the world from the Rhombulans beating out Jumping Jack Flash. Oh wait wrong game. That game had a good difficulty curve up to Without a Fight.

I never get tired of this game, and I have to agree with points 3 & 4, why did Neversoft put Clive on the chopping block? I loved playing Jordan with him on GHII...

And I loved the ending, although it's creepy. And Cliffs of Dover is a pretty good son he choosed for the credits, not to mention entertaining.

"Tom Morello sucks so bad... really."

Wow! I sure am glad you brought up such greatly written and compelling reasons! You are a totally reasonable with the fact that you said "really" at the end! That gave your awesomely written statement a fascinating ending! Good job! I hope you pass your English07 101 class!

"He doesn't suck but is definitely a 1 trick pony"

I cant tell you probably NEVER heard about RATM, or Morello for that manner, before Guitar Hero. So, I guess I'll have to enlighten you.

"Morello is famed for his guitar style, which consists of punk/metal hybrid riffs and hip hop-inspired sounds. His guitar playing is also characterized by heavy use of guitar effects, such as delay, modulation, wah, harmonizers, distortion, pitch shifters, feedback, and others in unique ways and combinations. Critically acclaimed, he is said to use the guitar in a unique and imaginative way; rather than just plucking the strings, his maneuvers include toggling between two pickups - one on and one off - while rubbing his hands on the strings over the pickups; uses the bridge pick up (His signature vinyl scratch effect used in "Bulls on Parade"). He also goes as far as rapidly hitting a pencil on the strings ("Cochise", although he now emulates the sound by "baby-tapping" the strings) and scraping an allen wrench on the strings for a whole song ("People of the Sun")."
