Fanswag: Celebrate the season of giving with a VC pack

Now that the Virtual Console gift feature is alive and kicking, it just seems fitting that we celebrate with a few gifts of our own. Each member of the Wii Fanboy staff has carefully chosen one game currently available on the U.S. Virtual Console, and we're ready to show our appreciation by gifting the lot to one lucky reader. But guys! What if I already have the game in question? Well, dear reader, we've also each chosen back-up titles, just in case. If the winner has one, we'll move onto the next. If you have all of them? Maybe you should hang back and let someone else win! 'Tis the season of giving, after all.

To enter, all you have to do is leave a comment on this post telling us what you'd be most likely to give away, if you were so inclined. You may enter once per day, and we must receive your comments between now and December 20. The giveaway closes shop that night at 11:59 PM EST, so get to work! We'll announce the winner December 21. As usual, entries are limited to legal U.S. residents age 18 and older. Please check the official rules for any other questions.

I would give Super Mario Bros. 3. Because in my opinionit is the best Mario game to date.

Probably a good multiplayer game because you can gift it to a whole family/group that way. Something like Mario Kart 64 or Bomberman 93.

I'd most likely give away a good new game like Super Mario Galaxy or something like Rayman 2

Doh, just kidding about the new game since we're talking about VC here. I'd love LoZ:aLttP aka Zelda 2.

Paper Mario!

I would give Super Mario Bros. and Zelda to everyone in the world because that's where it all started for so many of us. Its about educating the chil'ren about our collected past.

I'd probably give Pac-Man. Who doesn't have a good time with friends battling to see who can get the high score?

I would mostly give away my time. I am always willing to help.

When me and my friends have game night there is of course Smash bros, Halos, Mario Karts, Starfoxs, and even some Gunstar Heroes because its funny to see my fail at it.
But all the best times were had by playing Bomberman '93.

I would give super mario 3 for the snes because it was one of the best games ever created and I think that no matter who you are there is a special place in their hearts for the little plumber.

Super Mario Brothers, because everyone needs to play it to understand what real gaming is about.

I would most likely give Cooking Mama to my girlfriend. This is due to her now knowing how to cook.

I would give away Super Mario bros.3,
because its one of the best mario games,
and its a MUST have game for anyone who hasn't played it.

I'd have to go with Ocarina of Time. I love that game.

I only have (shock) one VC title -- Super Mario 64. I'd give that away in a heartbeat -- actually, maybe I will, to my friends who are getting Wii for Christmas.

(Of course, that means I have 1000 Wii Points sitting waiting for me to decide what to do with them. Paper Mario is the obvious choice, but I'm also considering Chew Man Fu. I'm a big puzzle fan!)

Sin & Punishment. I want a sequel and rail shooters dang nabbit. Also I would have said Earthbound but it's not there yet. Spread the goodNESS.

Mario Kart for sure

I'd give Zelda:OoT to my grandpa who had to stop playing his N64 version (after he had beaten it countless times) because his analog stick went out. He's an avid Zelda player who actually beat Twilight Princess before I did.

I don't even think he knows what virtual console is.

Bomberman 93! When my friends come over and play Wii, we mess around with the normal Wii games, but we always end up playing Bomberman.

Ocarina of Time, of course.

I would give the gift of Sin & Punishment. It's truly a Treasure that all of humanity should behold.

I would gift super mario bros 3 because it reminds me of family togetherness when I would always play it with my sister in our basement when we were just youngins

I would give SMB3 to my friend Jared. He has a Wii but has not purchased any VC games for it yet.

I would give the VC Neo Geo game Magician Lord... because it's suppose to be excellent, and I downloaded it, but the screen is all funky when I start it so I can't play it. So if I gave someone a copy and they had the same problem, maybe they could tell me what I need to do so I can play it too!

I'd give Super Metroid because Metroid games cannot be given enough love!

Super Mario Bros 3. Hands Down! The day this feature was available I presented my best friend with this gift. I didn't tell him about the new feature which added to the holiday surprise. Shortly after he realized his Wii was glowing blue, he was floored to see a new game was purchased for him. Giving one of the best gaming titles of all time as a gift was a great feeling, and I will definitely give Super Mario Bros 3 to a few more friends closer to Christmas!

Wario's Woods. It's really good and they've probably never played it.
