Ready at Dawn drawn to current-gen consoles
With work on God of War: Chains of Olympus coming to an end in March, developer Ready at Dawn is already planning an excursion beyond the PSP's portable realm. In a lengthy interview with 1UP, the studio discusses how easily the Greek-on-the-go got the green light thanks to the hard work put into the well-received Daxter. "The first meeting just went like 'we should make a God of War PSP game' and they were like 'yeah you should.' And that was pretty much it," quipped the game's director, Ru Weerasuriya.
Once Kratos is out of the way, Ready at Dawn hopes to put on a similarly impressive show on that system you currently have chained to your television. "This team is ready to move onto something pretty big, and we've [been] planning it for quite a while, and this team needs to show what they're capable of doing on next-gen or current-gen." Expect to hear more about Something Pretty Big as soon as the team gives Okami its deserved second chance on the Wii.

If Ready At Dawn puts out the same quality work they've done on the PSP, I wholeheartedly support'em and eagerly await their next titles(hopefully a new IP) on the PS3/X360/Wii(?).

Michael @ Dec 13th 2007 9:17AM
Well if it was packed full of things like "2wice", I would probably delete them too
sifer2400 @ Dec 13th 2007 9:19AM

Seriously, though...the 'T' and 'W' keys are practically right next to each other.
This isn't text messaging.
(THIS IS SERIOUS BUSINESS)

Even better yet, why would you use 2wice when 2x is shorter and significantly less gay?

Okami on Wii would tempt me to buy one.
But, off topic, does anyone here think Darwinia would be a PERFECT fit for the Wii? First time I saw a Wii in action I thought of how fun Darwinia would be.

The demo for GOW on PSP shocked me with how good it was. RAD is one of the most smaller gems in game development and I can't wait for them to release something for the PS3 or 360. No Okami for me as I thought the game was a bit lame.
Joe @ Dec 13th 2007 12:23PM
Well if Surfer Girl is to be believed then RAD will be making a new IP and it will be for the PS3. So take that as what you will.

the fanboy in me would love for Sony to snatch up this studio but seriously, if they can make a console game with the level of prescision they make PSP games i would almost feel bad not being able to share it with everyone else! RAD games are great so far. heres hoping for a new IP.

Psh
Okami doesn't need a second chance.
Okami needs to let you skip the 48 minute story sequences.
Mr Khan @ Dec 13th 2007 3:48PM
that and actual advertising
madato @ Dec 13th 2007 7:42PM
Games don't need advertising...
ThornedVenom @ Dec 13th 2007 6:42PM
I'd highly anticipate their next game after God of War.
