New red and black colored PSP unveiled

& is it only coming out in Japan?

I agree with Ryan. Even if I did like Gundam I probably wouldn't want this thing. Also, seriously, why is it that we can't just have a simple white PSP? C'mon Sony....it's why I haven't bought a slim yet. You're blowing it. They could sell so many more if they put one out in white (which the DS does and guess what color sells best.....(Ok, that's speculation. But I know if I were to actually buy one of those lame things, I'd buy the white one.)

Stop making PSP's for the niche audience with designs that barely look better than sticking a decal on the handheld. Besides, doesn't all that crap on the back make it even MORE slippery in gamer's sweaty chubby hands? (My chubby hands are sexy and not at all sweaty. Ok yeah, maybe they are after a long session of Killzone or SOCOM multiplayer, but I digress.)

I just want a plain white PSP. (I totally had my money though on the black girl in those controversial billboards...)

Sony just needs to make that PS phone already. I'm tired of bulging pockets and my cargo shorts sag more daily. I need somthing universal like my PSP that doesn't cost a fortune (iPhone, I'm looking at you) and still does all my great stuff. I've been looking at an Ericsson P1, but I've been waiting to see what happens.

Really, though, my PSP was cool a while back, but now iPods are small and other mp3 players and phones are moving into the PSPs swiss army territory. Please sony; PS phone?

Everything depends on the shade of red, not the fact that a system *is* red. I liked the Spiderman bundle's version of red but not the "Deep Red" PSP's, which, despite the Dario Argento allusion, looks like lipstick. The Gundam bundle looks to have the two colors just about right, provided the user is male and doesn't want to carry something that induces castration anxiety (insert depraved grinning emoticon). Red and Black -- if it's good enough for Stendhal, it's good enough for the PSP.

The last question will be whether or not the bundle will retain the price listed here when imported. If it did, I'd have to buy one, though I rather doubt it will.

Oddly, I also own a red laptop, crimson and red DS and ferrari red-and-black 5.5 iPod (refurbished Colorware 80GB for $170 last year). If I weren't a geek, you'd think I was starting a gang.
