Shipping this week: gambling with death edition

And the slim release weeks just keep on coming. This week we have one solitary game being released, said game being MX vs. ATV Untamed. There may be a few kids out there wishing for a real ATV this Christmas and this game can't help but remind us that ATVs are dangerous, dangerous machines. The mere word "ATV" conjures many memories of maternal voices warning us of the danger of what they called "four wheelers." Combined with the horror stories we've received from friends throughout the years, we'd say it's probably better to go with a video game than the real thing. Well, it's safer at least.

demo was pretty good...don't have the budget to get this game though.

next on my list is Burnout Paradise.

Eh I thought the demo was on par with all those unleashed games, which were budget games at best. I'll stick to the real deal for ATVs and leave the more dangerous things (shooting live amunition at you're friends) to video games. An ATV is only as dangerous as the person is stupid riding one.

Plus when you're riding on a ATV you usually only have to worry about how you drive unlike when you're in one of those two ton death machines they call "cars". These same parents worried about their kid breaking his/her arm on an ATV are the same people giving their kid a brand new car the second they get their license and cutting them loose to destroy lives n shit with their dumbass friends in the backseat.

Yeah, this is totally a lull. And that demo sucked hard. It reminded me of some crappy MX game on PS1 I hated like 10 years ago.

On the plus side I just discovered that the same deal MS has with downloading original Xbox games Sony is doing for the PSP ( I know, I'm slow )

I'll use the lull to play around with that and maybe finish some DS and PSP games I started and never got around to because the 360 kept luring me back.

It just sucks to sit and play a handheld in your own home. Sure, it's portable but I'm not going anywhere. The streets are covered in ice.

Dude ice storms are the perfect time to play a handheld. The power goes out and whatnot but luckily you have a nintendo product to last you about 8 solid hours before you go to mooch some electricity off a friend/family member within walking distance who wasn't affected, or you try to drive with hilariously terrifying results.

Ah I miss the ice storms, down here all we get are hurricanes. Atleast with ice storms the worst you have to worry about is being to cold and everything looks amazing.

I don't know how anyone can care that there's a lull... there must have been a dozen good games that came out in the last 2 months at least. I've certainly not played them all yet lol.
