The Joystiq Weekend: December 15 - 17, 2007
We had two people over the weekend send us pictures of real-life Portal occurrences - a blue portal and Glados, respectively. We want to remind people that the events of Portal were just dramatizations of real-life, and as such, no one should worry about anything out of the ordinary. Thank you and enjoy your cake. Check out the highlights for the weekend:

Blue portals and GLaDOS? Real? Yeah, right. Next you're going to tell me cakes are real, too!
stoik @ Dec 18th 2007 1:15AM
GLaDOS takes two CR2032 batteries.

My cake is a torte. Ok, it was a torte, now it is in fact a lie.

HELP!!!!
FOXHOUND @ Dec 18th 2007 8:05AM
I just want one of those nifty in-game radios. I already have bloody handprints ready to direct people around.
Synner @ Dec 18th 2007 8:21AM
am I the only person getting tired of the portal jokes?
I mean seriously, every game site, every web comic, and every blog is running it into the ground.
It's just not funny anymore. After reading 15 webcomics for 3 weeks that are essentially the same joke with different characters, I could really use a new joke.
How about them whores protesting GTA? let's do a few strips about that or something.
James @ Dec 18th 2007 9:57AM
I love the game, but yes. It is getting tiring now. But they'll stick with the old jokes because of lack of originality.
hvnlysoldr @ Dec 18th 2007 1:55PM
THIS IS JOYSTIQ!
jamma @ Dec 18th 2007 6:45PM
With all the trolls, fanboys, and idiots shouting "FIRST!!!111" in every post, the portal jokes seem like the lesser of the countless evils.
And it is a brilliantly made game
Synner @ Dec 18th 2007 10:01PM
not disputing it's an awesome game, but I am really tired of reading "the _____ is a Lie!!" you can almost hear the prepubescent giggles these tools are making while typing because they think they are sooooo clever.
Of course the 300 dead horse beating contest was as annoying, thanks for reminding me hvnlysoldier.
Antonio @ Dec 18th 2007 9:46AM
Why is Monday considered part of the weekend?
Zeck @ Dec 18th 2007 8:10PM
This is Zeck from Dearpaul.net. Thanks for bringing that up Brymo. Too bad that guy didn't leave his name. But somebody answered him on there.
