What would be really funny is if the original version of Tempest outsold Space Giraffe.

True, it would be funny to see Minter having yet another tantrum.

I don't think I'll be picking up either of these. Sensi I may try out, but I'm content with Space Giraffe, so I won't bother with Tempest.

it's hard to believe that such a simple game as Sensible Soccer is the one that's gonna convince me to buy a 360 over a PS3, but that's the way it is. It's such a great game, with online matches it'll be the best game ever. Fuck PES and FIFAs and their 12 buttons control scheme, you can do so much cooler stuff with just one button! :D

And it has a full career mode, to boot.

Sensible Soccer was one of my favorite games as a kid for my Amiga.

I'm sure you have some nostalgic games that you'd jump in a heartbeat if they put on XBLA.

Well. I really dont remember. Maybe I never really got to play it. I am only 27 years old. Maybe I was too young.

I still remember, "Where in the world is Carmen Sandiego", the first one. For some strange reason I loved that game. I would love to play it again.

I remember playing Tempest 2000 on a friend's Atari Jaguar! Man, that game was cool. Color me jealous for this XBLA game.

The real kicker will be when that Space Giraffe dev sees his game getting outsold by his inspiration. Poor guy.

Jeez I know I've spent more than $5 worth of quarters to play Tempest back in the day. I loved the sound effects in that game, might have to pick that one up.

I still would love to see Star Control come out on Live, make that a live enabled game and you'll have lots of people getting that title. Space battles were awesome.

Why is Sensible 800 points instead of 400 if it's a retro title? It doesn't look like it got anywhere near the graphical update Prince of Persia did.

Yeah no kidding, talk about some greed and nickel-and-diming.

$10 for SWoS? Thanks but no thanks. At 400 ($5) I was going to pick it up. Now I'll just spend the points elsewhere...800 pts for a 'retro' title is a rip off, I don't care how prettied-up it is.

Because it's a fuller featured game, and it's NOT a port. 400 is reserved for arcade ports and updates.

Looking at the Tempest pics, it looks as if it's going to be as visually busy as Space Giraffe. It's not a bad thing, as I played through Space Giraffe and had a blast, but the people who touting this as the end all, be all version of Tempest will most likely be disapointed.

Not quite. There's sharper graphics, and some more twinkle, but it's nowhere near as busy as Space Giraffe.

Level 81. The explosions make it looke like the screen is going to be filled with particle effects. Cleaner? Maybe... but it's still going to be busy.

If the "re-styled" version of Tempest is anything close to Tempest 2000, I'll be happy. This will definitely replace my unplayed copy of Space Giraffe. It helps when you can actually *see* the graphics in a game when you play it.
