Sony places twice in list of business blunders

Wow such bashing on the Sony platform. 360 wasn't god's gift when it first came out either, and the wii?? The only reason I bought a wii was for super smash bros which they pushed to next yr, and mario galaxy which is a good game but I got tired of after beating it. Overall I play my PS3 now way more then the wii, it has better games overall as of now, The Orange Box (pure bs on the slowdown as I've been playing it the last 3 days and never expeierienced a heavy slowdown and only a minor framedrop an really heavy scenes), Assasin Creeds with 1.10 patch making it way better, and UT3 which is basically killer title for those into fps. The wii has...mario. I mean really, joystiq is just bashing the ps3 way too much for no reason. The PS3 is getting way too much hate news and ppl who bash can't even talk unless they own one right now and have tried all the games out for it. Hell I'm glad I dont have to return my ps3 like my xbox twice in a row for heat issues. In the long run the PS3 is gonna pay out heavy dividends to gamers with killer titles in '08 and years to come.

I'm surprised that the European Black/White ad campaign wasn't on their list. Sure, these other stories had live goat eating and blasphemy, but I'm sure Fortune could have found room in their 101 for a little racism too.

Hell, Sony's advertising across the board has been one long string of dumb business moves.

The PS3 has 56 games with a metacritic score of 75 or higher.
The Wii has 24
The 360 has 134.

Yes, the 360 has more. However, 56 games is still a ton. Do you have $3000 to drop on video games? Because I don't. I make a pretty decent living, and I can't begin to afford all the PS3 games I want to play. So, where's the problem? PS3 has shooters, action, sports, driving, casual, rhythm, and everything in between. Except for kids titles, there's very few genres that aren't well represented on the PS3. RPGs are another light area, but there's been a dearth of those on next-gen consoles as a whole.

You know what gets me, is Sony had this generation in the bag. We were SOLD. They were #1 last gen by leaps and bounds (well, at least by units moved), and ALL they had to do was make the PlayStation 2, 2.0. Just upgrade the hardware and ship at low(er) prices. That's it. But they blew it.

Between all the things Sony Gaming has done, having had to buy a 2nd PS2 that is already a bit flaky, and the rest of the Sony company (root kits, etc etc, I now actually try to avoid Sony products wherever possible. I just can't trust them anymore.

I think this list was aimed more at regular people and not gamers. Most of the stuff you'd read on this web site wouldn't show up on that list, anyway.
