Final Fantasy VII Advent Children Complete trailer
Wait, hear us out. As announced at TGS this year, the newly redubbed Final Fantasy Advent Children Complete won't be arriving on Blu-ray undisturbed. Oh no, it's been smeared through the mud, and then scratched by a horde of feral kittens. It's dirty and bloody and, well, we sorta like it. Get a peek at the trailer embedded above and wrestle with the mysteries that keep Cloud's hair so erect, even in this new, dirty revision.

oh well, hopefully with all that blu-ray disc space there will be a Spanish dub somewhere, or at least Spanish subtitles :) looks good, though!
jovin6 @ Dec 19th 2007 6:38AM
I feel you, man. I'm rooting for a Zulu version myself.
steve @ Dec 20th 2007 1:50PM
kablagh!
I'm waiting for it in the original Klingon!
Joshua Ochs @ Dec 19th 2007 6:29AM
Can't say I see a difference, really. Is it just me?
The Artist formally known as Jesus @ Dec 19th 2007 10:59AM
nobody can tell the difference on low res gamevideos
bigsofty @ Dec 19th 2007 6:47AM
Ooooh, more pre-rendered CGI garbage... 99% of these game is just DVD animation space. All pre-rendered animation garbage and 1% antiquated game play Zzzz...
No thanks...
PINION CORPORATION @ Dec 19th 2007 6:50AM
Its not a game.
Victor @ Dec 19th 2007 7:15AM
You're embarrassing yourself.
Boss Tempo @ Dec 19th 2007 7:34AM
Keep quiet, Doofus.
bigsofty @ Dec 19th 2007 6:51AM
Oh and why do all the men look like gay punk hermaphrodites in manga animation? A least GOW made em look tough... they look like a quick slap, spoil their hair, make up and they would run away crying? :P
Michael @ Dec 19th 2007 10:10AM
So let me get this straight, you are saying that you like big strong, manly men. But it seems you are obessed with the way the male characters look in this video
How very hetero of you.

Since this comes up ALL the time, let me address the issue.
In America: a manly straight man is a large strong muscular one.
In America: A stereotypical gay man isn't bulky, wears the most stylish clothes, and has hair that is "fabulous".
In Japan: a manly straight man isn't bulky, wears the most stylish clothes, and has hair that is "fabulous".
In Japan: A stereotypical gay man s a large strong muscular one.
This is why in Japan, the cast of Gears is seen as being a bunch of gay dudes, while the cast of FF7 are considered manly and sexy.
Its a cultural divide, simple as that.
bigsofty @ Dec 19th 2007 6:51AM
It was a comment of the FF series in general, not the movie.
Mark @ Dec 19th 2007 7:03AM
You're a pretty crappy troll. :(
No worries, it just takes practice. Keep it up, tiger.
Mark @ Dec 19th 2007 7:04AM
PS- Final Fantasy VII sucks.
WorMzy @ Dec 19th 2007 8:03AM
Extra scenes won't make it worth buying a Blu-ray player for.
Phillip @ Dec 19th 2007 10:12AM
Disagree.
WiNG @ Dec 19th 2007 8:41AM
I've had this movie for months, someone bought it for me, judging by the packaging it's from Hong Kong or something, but it has English subtitles.
Anyway I never played FFVII (gasp!) but the movie is quite good. Obviously I didn't understand a lot of why things were happenning but I know who Sephiroth is and that whatsherface is dead, etc.
This movie is like a 1 hour long adrenaline ride composed of insane action and fan service. If you liked FFVII at all I am pretty sure you will have at least 5 orgasms watching this movie.
Especially at this point if you spend more time looking for Tifa pictures on the internet than actually doing anything that requires 2 hands.
Rich @ Dec 19th 2007 9:46AM
"...but I know who Sephiroth is and that whatsherface is dead, etc."
Whatsherface is dead?!!! NOOOOOO!!! You spoiled it!!! :P
Crono (NDF - Knight of the Old School) @ Dec 19th 2007 10:56AM
I agree. Advent Children is a badass action flick for the FF fan.
randomshagz @ Dec 19th 2007 9:33AM
Looks cool. I am kinda tired of Advent Children in general. How much longer is the movie gonna be with the new scenes?
I do like the fact that the CG/3D done by Square as a whole looks really good. A lot of Japans CG/3D stuff looks like the Mask 2. (Watch Japanese TV you will see what I mean.) Disney's 3D is nice, but I wish they would but some traditional animated stuff out as well.
svenhoek @ Dec 19th 2007 10:32AM
I love this movie. I think i may just end up downloading this version though, since with no blu-ray player i just want to see the extra scenes. The one where Seph picks Cloud up with his sword looks poster worthy.
Phillip @ Dec 19th 2007 10:38AM
Needs an HD trailer to really see the comparison shots well.
Gangsta Smurf @ Dec 19th 2007 11:08AM
My God, I dislike Final Fantasy VII as much as the next man but trolling this thread is really uncalled for. I watched Advent Children dozens of times so this is pretty cool news.
Leave the FF7 hate for the PS3 remake
*fingers cross*
Roto13 @ Dec 19th 2007 12:55PM
Needs less whoring.
DemiurgicSoul @ Dec 19th 2007 1:06PM
I wish that they would include FFVII the game on the Blu-Ray version!
Vegeta (aka Ska Oreo) @ Dec 19th 2007 2:35PM
Knowing Squenix, I wouldn't be surprised if they released a new version of this movie every few years.
Robochocobo @ Dec 22nd 2007 3:28PM
Advent Children was a disservice to Final Fantasy 7, and the fact that they're remaking the film is further proof of how far Square-Enix has fallen.
This whole practice of remakes even extends to film. HOW GOD-DAMNED RIDICULOUS IS THAT?
I disliked it when it came out, as it offered nothing redeeming in terms of cinema or new content to FF7. When will people get off their hard on for FF7, and realize it's not that deep of a game? There is no profound message or meaning, no deeper subtext to be explored. Everything Square-Enix has done here is simply hack and paste maneuver.
As a film, it's pacing is frenetic and discomforting as it avoids following any sort of traditional structure or narrative. Instead it feels like a bunch of action scenes taped together with scenes of Cloud in emotional duress. Then, suddenly, there's a giant sephiroth fight scene out of no where (because they HAD to fit him in somehow) that seems to feel more at home in the unrealistic hyper action of DBZ than any sort of world in a realistic fashion. Then BAM the movie is effectively over.
I've had nothing but venom for this film since I saw it when it came out. I'll continue to do so for it's 5 remakes down the road.
Cloud8100 @ Jan 16th 2008 6:22PM
Does this come out on dvd? I don't really care about blu-ray but if they change some of the parts i would like to see it. Shame I don't have a ps3 for all the games and stuff I want.
