It'll probably be the MSX and the Sega Master system.

My question is where is the gameboy at? Since unless you have a Gameboy SP/Advance, hundreds of games are now unavailable for play.

Never even thought about that. Imagine to play The Minish Cap on a huge 50" screen... Hmmm... Nice...

But I don't know if a game made for GBA would have the resolution to be displayed correctly. Has anyone used the GBA adapter for the GameCube? How did the games look?

They actually looked pretty good. I played and beat both Link to the Past and Metroid Fusion on the Game Boy Player. Link to the Past is pretty comparable to the SNES version, and Fusion looks better than Super Metroid in a lot of ways (although that can be chalked up to art differences). The games aren't the highest resolutions, but it's amazing how good you can get little GBA games to look on the TV. Other games looked fine, if a little blurry (like FFTA and Advance Wars.)

i owned the gamecube - gba connector and after a few months i sold it back to gamestop and only played on my gba. WHY.

SOme games looks great, while others look really nasty and of course gamecube pad isn't good at all for gba games. Borders were bad too

I think Game Boy /color is likely, and for like 200 Wii points that will be very fair.

MSX = Why would Microsoft do it for Virtual Console before xbox-live?

I'm thinking Saturn, since more people know about that than Master System.

It would be nice. I'd have to buy myself some SD cards if that happened.

Three Dirty Dwarves, a playable version of VF2, a Zapper compatible Virtua Cop, Steering Wii-l compatible Daytona, NiGHTS, Shining Force III!...yeah, I'm way past pipe dream stage.

Saturn emulation isn't good enough yet. The closest is the GiriGiri Saturn emulator, but that's still got a while to go before it's decent enough to run most games correctly.

I don't really know what that other one is, but I want Sega CD, along with Castlevania: Chi No Rondo X for the Turbograft CD.

Vectrex. For sure. I'd love to get my Scramble on. First Konami game I'd ever played.

Actually, I'd guess it's either the Master System or Game Boy/Color. No Game Boy Advance though since the DS is still perfectly capable of playing those titles, and cartridges are still readily available. Thus there'd be less of an incentive to release GBA titles at VC friendly prices. Although I guess that sort of depends on how quickly people are gobbling up GBA cartridges at this point.

I'm really hoping for the Gameboy.

So many games I want to play again, that aren't supported by my newer handhelds, and demand such specific lighting conditions.

Mario land
Mario land 2
Wario land
Kirby's Dream Land 1 & 2
Metroid II
Contra
Final Fantasy Legends
Link's Awakening

Hell, imagine if they let you download Red and Blue (pokemon) and let you do Wifi transfers with Diamond and Pearl.

Back before the Wii launched there was a slashdot.org article about Epyx confirming that their C64 titles were destined for the VC.

http://games.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=06/09/29/2042203

I would not complain if this became a reality.

As long as they wouldn't take half an hour to load the game like the commodore 64 used to do with the tapes.

If you're going to do disc-based systems then you absolutely HAVE to put in the Sega Saturn before the MSX. I mean c'mon! Radiant Silvergun and Panzer Dragoon Saga are two of the greatest games of all time and so few people have played them because of limited releases. Copies of these games go for upwards of $150 on Ebay! The VC is about playing games people never had a chance to play and I can't think of a better example.
