DS Daily: Video game crushes

While playing Phoenix Wright: Trials and Tribulations, we came across this hilarious scene in which the game pokes fun at the "frothing female masses" devoted to Miles Edgeworth (which, sadly, includes this blogger). We know that they're embarrassing to admit to, since -- as you well know -- video game characters aren't real people. Yet, many of us must concede to having a video game crush at some point in our lives, and it's time to 'fess up and come clean. So, what video game characters have you had (or do you have) a crush on?

The preview image ALONE has a huge spoiler character in it.

When I first noticed this post when it originally went up, I wasn't too happy when I saw the preview image. I wasn't that far along in the game at the time, but I was far enough to know what *that character* implied. I've since finished the game, and wasn't completely spoiled, but I still wish I didn't see what I saw here.

I hope the DS Fanboy crew is/will be more careful about this sort of thing in the future :S

Namine's pretty cute, too. I want a KH game with Kairi and Namine as playable characters.

I remember the mega-busty curvacious babes from the Killer Instinct games got me quite excited when I was playing them as a young boy. They certainly were 3D! Hubba hubba!! :-)

Ouch, that is a bit of a spoiler. You could probably cut the movie down by about 15 seconds and get rid of it.

Also, it's not just the ladies that like Edgeworth. Everyone knows Phoenix sneaks him little peeks.

I've fallen hard for Samus ever since Metroid II.

Gumshoe's cuter, IMO. He's like a big, dumb teddy-bear.

I gotta say, I only recently started played through the Half Life episodes, and I'm really feeling it for Alyx. I've never felt so limited by the "silent protagonist" role, when she's being so expressive and all I can do is stand there, stoicly pointing a pulse rifle in her face.

I've got to admit that I've fallen for Alyx too, she's got a really great personality throughout the games. I've noticed a lot of moments when I want to reply or shout out something but have to resign myself to Gordon's talking-through-action style instead.

My first crush, ever, was a video game character. I've mentioned it before in my comments, but Kain from FFIV was my first crush, as scary as that is. I was completely infatuated.

My biggest video game crush, ever, though was Vincent Valentine from Final Fantasy VII. And no, said crush has not gone away. I still worship him in ways tat can not be defined.
