No doubt in a rush to get a new game – any new game – on store shelves so it can wash its hands of the whole Kane and Lynch debacle, Eidos has announced that it will release Conflict: Denied Ops for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC on February 12, 2008.
The game is the latest from the "conflict" obsessed folks at Pivotal Games, and will allow one or two players to simultaneously control a pair of gun-wielding supermen, not unlike the aforementioned Kane and Lynch. Pivotal's Conflict series of games are not exactly known for overwhelmingly positive scores, and if our earlier impressions hold true, the same fate awaits Denied Ops, though hopefully once reviews begin rolling in no writers will find themselves on the business end of a pink slip. If so, perhaps Gerstmann needs a roommate?

Can we please stop making thousands of boring war/shooter games? They keep getting more and more generic and unexciting.
The Xbox 360 needs more colorful platformers and original games.

Eh you know that this game is multiplatform right? I mean unless you are saying that Generic Shooters are Ok in the PS3 and PC I believe you are misinformed.

yeah, i'm gonna go ahead and agree with you on that one. it's just like, yay ANOTHER shooter. but this one is supposed to be groundbreaking, just like the last one was supposed to be, but wasn't. never thought i would get tired of shooters, BUT i have. so sad. that's why portal was my game of the year.

I predict glowing reviews, regardless of how poorly the game was produced. Payola FTW!

Were all those stupid comments about eidos really necessary? just say theyre making a new game and leave it at that. Bashing them and saying the game sucks, when youve not even played it, makes you look like an ahole, not a journalist.

Its because Eidos recently, blatantly lied about reviews of Kane and Lynch on their website. (Among the fact of most likely advertising pressure to gamespot for giving K&L a low review)
As they said "The Kane and Lynch Debacle" has tainted Eidos' image. Thus, causes the bashing of Eidos for making the next thing.

I know why people are bashing them and I really dont care. Writers need their keep personal feelings out of the news and show some respect for the people who are busting their ass to bring us entertainment and show some dam journalistic intergrity. Printing lies because of those rumors, true or not, is completely pathetic. It hurts the credibility of the site, it hurts the developers of this new game, and it hurts the whole videogame industry when the media starts prejudging and lying like this.
