If you take these 3 sentences, it appears it'll be available to everyone.

"To celebrate the launch of Xbox LIVE Marketplace Video Store we're giving everyone chance to download the spectacular 300 (BBFC 15) at a bargain price."
"For 24 hours starting at 00:01 (GMT) on 28 December to 23:59 (GMT) on 28 December, the Warner Bros box office hit can be yours to rent for just 100 Microsoft Points."
"It's one of many great blockbuster titles in the Xbox LIVE Marketplace Video Store, the first video-on-demand service to be available in six countries - USA, Canada, UK, Ireland, France and Germany."

The current rental prices are outrageous. Its almost if they price them so high to deter people from using the service. I use Netflix, but wish it were cheaper to rent via download.

You're in the US...you should be happy.

We, Canadians, get hosed at 2 stages. First we pay 30% more for MSP even though the Canadian dollar is above the US dollar. Next, we get hosed at the movie price point were our prices are 27%-29% more in terms of MSP than the American prices. This amounts to us having to pay an outrageous 60% MORE for each movie than you guys. THAT is bullshit.

Too bad my 360 is out of commission. I'd give 300 (HD) a whirl for 100 pts easily.

I would rent it since i never seen it yet, and in HD! But it would take me about 8 hours at least to download it. :(

If it is the HD one for 100msp then I'll get it. Only seen the BR version so it'll be interesting to see how this compares.

this one will be worse. on blu-ray the movie is 1080p, the marketplace hd is only 720p AND its an encode from an HD source, further losing quality.

It was downscaled to 720p anyway on my mate's projector. We both have the same amp & projector but I don't know if it'll be in 5.1 - Matrix Revolutions HD wasn't.

Well at least they get SOMETHING exclusive. Us Americans have had the Video Marketplace much longer than the other places have.
