What is this guy worried about? That the Wii is about to run out of steam and start collecting dust. That people will finally realize that the other 2 systems are way better.

Although I doubt the Wii will run out of steam anytime soon, I have to agree that people don't realize what else is out there. If anything, the Wii is holding back the advancement of gaming. Having some motion-control is fine, but building entire games around clunky, unresponsive controls is just dumb.

I feel more connected to a game when I have good surround sound and quality graphics - not when I have to flail my arms just to get Mario and Sonic to run.

That said, I'll be getting my girlfriend one for Christmas. She won't be playing the waggle games though. She wants it mostly for Paper Mario and the inevitable next Zelda game..

Plan on making more systems? Just a thought Nintendo. They have been making 1.8 million a month, for the planet, for several months now. That might be enough for the USA... maybe.

I don't know if you realize this, but 1.8 systems a month is a lot. That's just a little over 41 Wiis made every minute.

Hm. I had a reason for stating this, but it got lost somewhere in the math and Calculator. Anyway, fun facts.

Well, if you think the graphics suck on the Wii, check out the Xavix. I bought a Xavix last Xmas with 5 games for about $250. I played it about 10 times this past year. I just sold it to some other sucker on eBay for $225.

What's a Xavix you ask? It's the Wii before the Wii, it's games use wireless controllers, they only make about 6 games for it. Boxing, Bowling, Tennis, Baseball, Golf, Fishing, and some exercising stuff. We're talking Sega Genesis type graphics (16-bit at best). I thought that it would be fun, it wasn't. www.xavix.com

So now I have this Pay Pal credit and I want to get a Wii. I'm not dumb enough to pay full retail or above for it, I'll buy a used one. But alas, all these idiots on eBay are paying above retail for the thing on a used system and the new ones are going for $400

So I will wait. I'm a mature adult. I work and have kids, I don't have time to play a lot of games anyway.

Honestly the cool graphics of the PS3 and XBox360 don't inspire me to get one. I don't have the time to learn 35 different button/movements to play and enjoy a game. Maybe I have ADD, but if I can't get into the game in about 2 minutes, I'm bored with it. I like the simplicity and the gimmicks of the Wii. Heck, my last console was a PS1, so I'm still excited about those graphics.

Oh before you bash me and call me an idiot or loser or something... I've been gaming since DOS 3.1 in monographic B&W, my first games were Text based, not ASCII based, TEXT. I had an Atari 2600 and 5200, I had a C64, and an Apple IIe. I've been gaming since before most of you were born.

Does it suck that I can't go into Target and get a Wii right now, sure... I think that if Nintendo is holding back they're geniuses. Look 2 years in a row #1 Xmas gift. They were so far behind Sony and MS for so many years. I thought they'd gone out of business...

Cabbage Patch Kids couldn't do that, neither did Elmo. I'm still holding out till I can one used at a reasonable price. I figure, I'll get the Wii, 2 controllers and some extra games for about $250. I hear that Nintendo says in the spring there will be an endless supply of Wii's available. Then who wants to pay $400 for a used system? Just like the housing market, I see Wii's falling and falling. Just wait, I bet in 2010 they'll have the WiiWee and we'll start this crazyness again!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!
