It costs ten bucks to make it.

Quite the profit for MS.

Tell you the truth, this all seems dumb.

Good, don't be convinced.

I bought one of these for full price back when they were new. It handled like ass on everything I've tried it on.

The foot pedals are almost impossible to get comfortable with, and almost impossible to use at all without rearranging furniture to hold them in place.

The steering is amazingly loose and the force feedback is more likely to jerk it out of your hand (even attached to a table!) than feel like it's resisting you. And if you grip so hard it doesn't jump out your hands, it just feels stupid.

And now, even if I wanted to sell it, brand new it's worth 2/3 what I paid for it.

Stay away.

Not convinced of what?

That racing wheels rule...Just try one and you will ask yourself how the heck you ever raced with a pad?!?!

That the price is low enough...compare it to the other ones from logitech. The $100 price is competitive.

Sorry, I used to buy every wheel that came out (for the PC mostly), but every single one ended up returned before my 30 days were up. You pretty much need a driving cockpit for wheels to be a good idea.

No, it is not worth it unless you have kids that play on it. Mine love it by I personally would have rather spent the money on games although, mine did come with PGR3.

You and me pal.

I like the wheel but I just don't like racing Sims, I have several of them including PGR3 and Forza 2 but I rarely play them in fact I stopped playing Forza 2 because it was somehow frustrating I don't know why racing sims become so damn frustrating in later levels also that the auctions well let's say is hard to sell a Kirby car when some guy is selling The Mona Lisa car at the same price.

Is really that bad?

I have several Steering wheels and joysticks from MS and most of the still work perfectly, my steering wheel included Midtown madness which was great back in the day but it was incredibly frustrating in later levels, Motocross madness which was Ok and Monster madness which sucked ass.

Well I guess it can be useful to beat the achievements out of fuzion frenzy but thinking about it Scene it includes 4 controllers already.

If you were such a grammar Nazi you would tell me in a full sentence with a capital letter at the beginning and proper punctuation, however you fail at the internetz so this was not possible.

I think a lot of people tend to think like this, which is not obsurd, but I disagree. I mean there is no way in heck that I would take my honda civic out on I-95 and go "burnout" on other drivers.

(not that I wouldn't want to). Just like Guitar Hero, sure you could take the time and effort to learn to play guitar, but I'd rather just play the video game. I'm sure as heck not signing up with the Army because I want the "Real thing", I'm playing COD4 on my xbox and I'm perfectly happy.

I've been wanting one of these for a while now to play PGR and Test Drive. Sounds like they don't work that well though. =(

$100 is still a little high but who am I to complain, I bought a logitech wheel for my PSX God knows how many years ago (about 10?)for around $130 and it was the worst investment I've ever made. The wheel handled horribly and made me never want one again, although I have tried one or two with rumble and they seemed MUCH better...

If they are going to drop prices.. they should drop that $190 120GB external HD! ! That thing should be $80 and the 20GB $40. Seriously.

Get a PS3. They are upgradeable (100% supported by Sony without voiding your warranty with data backup and all) with off-the-shelf laptop hard drives. 320 gigs for $140.

I actually regret buying mine. It's quality, but I don't place my racing games enough to get good with it because you can't just pick it up and be great with it. I want to sell it, and I'd gladly make it rather cheap and I've only used it about 3 times.

Spend $250 for system that uses a motion controller to steer with if that's up your alley. Tilt it down in the direction you want to travel. The MS wheel works great for PG3, PGR4, Forza 2 and Dirt, but haven't found much success with the others yet.

My friend plays only one game for his Xbox 360. Always, Forza 2, nonstop. People like him should get this now!

Yes, he's a slightly boring person.
