I'll be buying a copy on the 26th.
GANNONSMASH @ Dec 24th 2007 3:24PM
Desolation AND isolation? Isn't that a little redundant?
giantenemycrab @ Dec 24th 2007 3:24PM
That game really is amazing even if you have to turn the graphics all the way down.
Neebs @ Dec 24th 2007 3:36PM
The game looks like Battlefield 2 did on Medium-high two years ago if you turn everything down.
Jeff @ Dec 24th 2007 3:27PM
Wow. I feel special. =)
soot @ Dec 24th 2007 3:33PM
Aren't those all names of Halo maps?
GANNONSMASH @ Dec 24th 2007 4:03PM
Yep, except Training and Excavation.

Must be nice to be a PC gamer. That kind of shit wouldn't fly on consoles.
Jeff @ Dec 24th 2007 3:43PM
It's one of the admittedly few bonuses we get.
I'm a bit bitter right now... I just had to completely reinstall windows and my internet isn't 100% right now. Lesson of the day: don't play with shady driver cleaners.
A bunch of really good UT3 mod maps are already out, too, and available on Ps3. An over-the-shoulder view is also available and being cooked up for ps3... so they can get their GoW fix. =P

free maps?
console owners would be upset that they can't pay $10 for them -_-
Evan @ Dec 24th 2007 4:00PM
Forget content packs, I want a fucking patch already!
jynxycat @ Dec 24th 2007 6:58PM
for?
Shane B. @ Dec 24th 2007 4:34PM
The game that nobody bought.
Ted @ Dec 24th 2007 5:54PM
It had never occured to me to play Crysis multiplayer.
BananaBoat @ Dec 25th 2007 12:48AM
Noone will be playing multiplayer on these things, but I'm grateful for the new maps to explore in the editor.
It's a shame that only 80,000 people bought the game, but it's worth it if the next big game has a mode that can actually be played by "Last Gen" computers (Like anything made on the source engine)
Jeff @ Dec 25th 2007 2:26PM
Crysis has plenty of modes that can be played on shitty computers. They start with the word "Low".
This shows that you shouldn't *market* your game purely based on graphics. And actually, I don't even think that's the case. I think it shows that PC gamers pirate everything unless you give it starforce or Steam. And sure, those are pirated too, but not as easily. You'll never weed out the hardcore pirates-- you just have to keep the average person from being able to.

I think Crysis will continue to sell for at least a year or two... as people by new rigs, they'll want to play Crysis. All we've been hearing about this game is that it takes Deep Blue to play it in high quality. I know when I get my new machine, Crysis will be my benchmark.
