Top stops taken by remakes of rehashes of sequels of 2 decade old games...

LZ:PH looked and felt like complete deja vu of LZ:TP. Yeah, played only one Zelda before - yet, LZ:PH already stroke me like completely unoriginal remake of other (namely LZ:TP) game. Result: returned to shop after less than two days.

Pokemon - [repeat all the rant replacing LZ:PH and LZ:TP with Pokemon Diamond and Pokemon Emerald]. You see, even ranting about pokemon game is redundant - so redundant the game became.

To be frank, such games do not deserve top spots - but rather "commemorative mention."

I do not know - how can you play literally same game over and over again????? Does the illness has name? I personally any day any time would put any new original game above all the rehash/remake/sequels stuff.

That's like saying that a sequel can't be called a movie, or that any other version of pizza doesn't deserve to be called food once you've tasted your first one with just pepperoni on it.

A new, original game has value in going where we've never gone before, which I completely respect and enjoy, but a game in a franchise has value in taking what we know and twisting it in ways we've never thought of before. Neither are any more deserving to be called games than the other.
