Many of us can remember the joy of playing Super Mario Bros. for the first time. Imagine how different that memory would be (something along the lines of pulling out our hair and screaming a lot, we're sure) if the game had been more like the ripoff in the video above. While this hack (which features the cheapest enemies and traps of all time) might be frustrating to play, its epic fail results in nothing but hilarity when watching. We would gush about our favorite parts here, but we don't want to spoil anything (the surprise is half the fun!). Feel free to share your favorite bits in the comments, though.
To experience this torture for yourself, you can download the game here (click the first link). Also, if you enjoyed the video, check out levels two, three, and four after the break.

Haha, this looks so awesome!
I would have made it even more frustrating, like having the jump button randomly not work, and switching the direction controls around randomly during gameplay.

I promise to stop saying SMB2 "Lost Levels" is the most evil game ever, this game takes that title, easily.

haha My favourite part is when they first get past the flag pole and the blob thing falls out of the sky, interrupting the victory music. Brutal!

Bwahaha, they used that Cheetahmen song.
If you don't know what that is, do your Action 52 Research and realise how bad that was.

I love the Cheetahmen song! (The game is horrible, though.) Also, the fourth level in this hack uses the Ghosts n' Goblins song :).

Well, it is beatable, but it's pretty hellish. The only time I really needed these videos is for the last boss, which as my brother and I said long before, "could just be a completly bogus path (with its own set of challanges." It was. Those who've played it/beaten it will know.
Pretty damn challanging.. the only problem is the music, which is something you'll get used to.
Btw, is that just a bag of weed at the end?

The source code is the code which MAKES the exe, it doesn't do anything to help aid any of your problems. Make sure you have the latest DirectX installed, have Asian fonts.
If you're running Vista, this may not work for what I can tell it's built off Visual C++ before Visual C++.NET, so depending on it's age, libraries it calls apon which are standard in Windows 95/98/ME/XP may not be present in Vista.
I'm currently doing a quick translation version, however am having a few difficulties compiling the program... The bloody DX Libraries are not compiling correctly and the readme files for both this game and the DXL are worthless.

I have everything that you've said but Asian fonts (japanese, korean etc.)
So this is why I can't play? XP
How do I get these fonts? I only know I need the Windows CD

In Windows XP, you will need the OEM Windows XP disc. Or borrow someone elses, it's not illegal unless you install XP knowing you don't have a legit key, and you're not installing XP. So, click Start > Control Panel > Regional and Language options > click the "Languages" tab, tick the "Install files for East Asian languages". Insert the Windows XP disc into your CD rom drive and click "apply", it'll install the support and may want to reboot (do so).
I have DirectX 9.0c installed on my Windows XP Media Centre Edition SP2 notebook, 1.7Ghz Mobile Intel Pentium M 735, 1.24GB RAM, works fine. So I suggest anyone having problems on XP Home/Professional/MCE SP2 should download the latest version of DirectX 9 from Microsoft's website; http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/Browse.aspx?displaylang=en&categoryid=2
I've got someone to test this game on Windows Vista SP0 (OEM) 64 Bit version. I'm not sure of x86 (32 bit) versions, but it looks like this runs flawlessly under Vista.

The Java version has different music in comparison... but for some reason the downloadable version, the Background music although in it's folder, isn't playing.. though the sound effects are.
