How do you delete your credit card information off anyway? I let a friend use my credit card to get the new maps and now the credit card number seems like its gonna be there for all eternity.

It's amazing to see what lengths some people will go to just to lengthen their e-penis. On the other hand, I'm sure all the hot, nubile women playing Halo 3 really dig that recon armor.

Thanks for all your support and thanks to Joystiq for posting this. Currently talking with some Xbox Live people regarding the issues with Xbox Live CS.

To those stating that I gave out account information: If you look at the thread on our site, the guy brags that he had no information at all and got it all from Xbox Live CS. I was not phished (I'm quite good at detecting phishing attempts), nor did I ever give out any account information (the email I use is ONLY used for Xbox Live). It was all GIVEN to him by Xbox Live Customer Support.

At Xbox, giving out ANY PII to a customer that they haven't already given you is a huge deal. The policies used to be weaker and they got into a lot of trouble for it.

However, the biggest company that does Xbox customer support is a company called NCO. I used to be an Xbox CS agent in Surrey, BC before they outsourced everything to our retarded stepsiblings in Quezon City in the Philippine. NCO is a horrible company and the people they have working for them now are equally horrible, so it wouldn't surprise me at all if one of them gave out all of your information. NCO likes to fake customer satisfaction survey results to make it look like these people are actually doing a good job. I've transferred plenty of calls to these people and listened to them completely screw up repeatedly. Idiots.

This is very sad. I mean, seriously, what for (besides showing off Microsoft's security flaws)?

This needs to be sorted out immediately. If accounts can be hijacked this easily because customer service is so inept, and credit card theft is happening as a direct result, that is horrific. If this wasn't happening exclusively on the net, there would be media outcry and microsoft would respond to it immediately in order to avoid serious damage to it's reputation. That they obviously aren't responding to this in anywhere near the same way suggests that their brand image is more important to them than the financial safety of it's customers.

I'm astonished and very, very angry.

Is the Armor downable or is included in the game already but you need Bungie to autorize the use of it?

Anyway poor guy,why those loosers don't make their own stuff and earn the armor?

I would imagine it is built into the game, seeing as otherwise nobody else playing with the armored guy would see the armor if it wasn't part of their game files.

damn that sucks. not familiar with how much administrative power Live has over its users but shouldnt they be able to just suspend the account until the dispute is resolved? i remember reading about all those people getting suspended for that Halo 3 beta sharing thing so i would think they would be able to do it. lets just hope the nerd doesnt run up the guys credit card while he is in control of the account.
