PS3 Poll Police: Which 2008 game will get mad delays?

The Poll Police want to wish you an early Happy New Year, assuming you use the Gregorian Calendar. They'd also like to invite you to take part in their latest investigation -- the seedy underbelly of 2008 house many great titles, but some of these games will undoubtedly remain hidden longer than anticipated. So, of the following haphazardly picked titles, which do you think will get the most delays and/or the longest delay?

As for us, we've no idea. Like we said, these are haphazard choices and anything else could pop out of nowhere and get delayed until 2010 for all we know. However, we do know the results of last week's poll. Take the jump to find out for yourself.

Wow! Imagine that. People get what they want on Christmas -- the most-giving-est holiday of the year. We're glad the majority seemed to enjoy their time off, but we do wish those with the negative responses a better next year, or a brighter outlook on whatever brought their holiday spirit down. Resident evil 5 is for 2009 btw. It was announced already that it would not be before that.

Oh, it is? Ha ha, I guess I missed out on that one. Well, let's assume it's scheduled for 2008 for some odd reason and has been pushed to '09. Think any of the other games will get pushed back farther than it?

Hmm I remember someone from Square saying that FF wont be out for 08. Maybe or it was all some bad dream

it will most likely be littlebigplanet, and that fact will make me cry like a baby.
it is one of the most ambitious titles for the PS3 IMHO. and if they are taking the time to make sure all aspects - particularly the "game 3.0" stuff - then it will likely get set back more than home, which is my second-place bet. home is also pretty ambitious, particularly with sony's big plans for the 3rd-party marketing/advertising stuff.

I would vote for both Final Fantasy games if I could, but seeing as I can't, I'll just vote for FFXIII. Unless it comes out this time next year, I can't imagine it being done any time soon.

Mind you, I have a limited imagination.

silent hill 5. the 360 version is just about done, now the developers need someone who can port it to PS3...

Gran Turismo 5 should be on there. Given Polyphonys track record on release dates, it wouldn't be surprising to see it in 2009

I agree with both of those, but i'd say GT5 is more likely to be
delayed. At least I'd hope, because I really want Metal Gear.

Im predicting Xmas 08 for GT5, as we've had GT:HD Concept in Xmas 2006, GT5: Prologue in Xmas 07, so it seems a right fit. Plus it means theyve been working on the title for at least 3 years by that point, so it SHOULD be ready.

i would have voted for metal gear solid 4 but somehow it wasnt good enough to be on that list... :(

ummm, ffvs13 isnt a 2008 title either. my bet is on lbp, just cause i believe ff13 will be out for 2008 in japan which is technically on time now.

I'm still dying to get SingStar here in the US. Last I heard, they didn't even have a release date anymore! It was just TBA 2008! This makes me very sad.

Importing it is no good unless you can access the Singstar store and buy new songs. With the current problems with purchasing from out-of-country stores, I wouldn't risk it.

Yeah, that's the reason I haven't imported it. One of the main reasons I'm so excited about the PS3 SingStar is the SingStore, and I am not about to make fake accounts and violate TOS or anything. I guess I'll just have to wait. I just hope they announce a release date soon, because this TBA crap's killing me.

I dont think killzone will be delayed much longer, it barely existed, and then they showed us it running in game real time perfectly. They have had plenty of time, and have used it well.

I voted Killzone 2. But I have decided that it probably wont, as it has been in development so long, they probably will release it even if it is no good.

I really want to play it, and hope they don't just release for the sake of it, so lets hope I am wrong.

I was looking for the 'all of the above' selection but....

GTA IV and silent hill 5 are the only games on that list that we are going to see in the next 10 months.

I wish i could vote for all of them, because every single game on that will be delayed. Sad but true :(

Yeah, where's MGS? No way it's coming out this spring (unfortunately.) Expect to see both that and GTA around November. :(

To be honest with ya, EA's been about the only one that's been able to hit release dates with any kind of accuracy as of late. So, I'm gonna vote that ANYTHING and EVERYTHING not published by EA will be delayed (possibly madly).

I think Home'll be delayed again (Because its such a huge project). Possibly LBP will come out at the right time. No offense, but I don't really care about the others except GTA4.
I'm also anticipating throughout 2008 wherever Naughty Dog'll leak some info about this *possible* new Jak game.

Seeing as how FF13 and FFv13 do not even have a estimated release date, I would say those shouldn't even be in the poll. Easily 2009 games

ALL OF THE GAMES WILL FACE DELAYS! I'd more shocked if any of these released on time, than if Bush ended the conflict in Iraq! And since everyone knows that ain't happening anytime soon, I guess PS3 has some delays ahead of them!

What happened to the Fancast? There hasnt been a new podcast for awhile now.

I wish I could pick more than one. I doubt any Final Fantasies will be released this year, and I think I've already heard that home (or a more public beta of home) has been pushed back.
