Honestly, its getting to the point where I feel like there is a God, and he hates fanboys.

God is punishing everyone of you for pretending that the FREE playstation network is garbage (which it's not) and continuing to vocally support and proudly pay for something that should be free.

I haven't had much trouble at all. A couple disconnections here and there but If I can get something out of it then... I can't sign in and I am angry, very angry. Grh give me free stuff now!

Was finally able to successfully recover my gamertag today. Also managed to play online. So that's good. But yeah, I'm betting it'll be points. I'll be happy with that.

MS better hope this enough for people who got a 360 for Christmas and were treated to the recent outages as their first taste of the Live service to stick around for when it's running perfectly again. I know a couple who aren't really interested in paying $50 a year for what they've experienced so far.

I doubt MS will give anything.
The "rumor" was probably circulated as a plot to get people thinking they'll get something, and hope in time, they'll forget what MS did, and be satisfied with just a rumor, and they know most gaming sites and blogs won't report on it if there is indeed no compensation, and such.

Dear Microsoft,

Please keep whatever shallow reimbursement you intend on gracing us. I care not about extra weeks of LIVE nor some extra "Microsoft Points".

Arcade games I payed for should not be tied to my console nor your flaky service. It should be tied with my gamertag.

Gamers are well aware of the loopholes this may cause, but the fact is I couldn't access ANY of my purchased LIVE arcade games during this Christmas break. I've seriously reconsidered renewing my Xbox LIVE membership and any further purchase of LIVE arcade games.

I know you won't listen. Because when corporations get this big and successful, then never do.

It is tied to your gamertag though?

My brother came over to my house and downloaded XBLA games that he had bought and I hadn't. They worked fine.

Mine *seems* to be working fine now. I had a problem downloading Limelight for Rock Band but I don't know if that was an unrelated problem or not. I surfed through the Marketplace okay though.

If they wanna compensate us, great. If they don't, not much we can do, I suppose. What are we supposed to do, picket on their front lawns?

I have to say, XBL has been a huge disappointment since I got my system. I've only had my system for about 4 months, but during that time, XBL has had many outtages. I keep hearing that "this isn't typical...XBL is usually rock solid". But since its been happening off and on since I got the console, I have to wonder if these people saying this know the definition of typical.LOL

My wife was going to get me a 1 year gold membership to XBL as a stocking stuffer for Christmas, but with all the problems XBL has been having, I told her to hold off on that. I'll stick with Silver membership until they get this stuff worked out, and return XBL to the mythical "rock solid" status I've been told about.
