So Uncharted didn't get in the top ten, I don't agree with it but fair enough, lots of good games this year.

It didn't even get an honorable mention in any of the "Best of the Rest" posts, seriously?? How many of you guys actually played thru the whole game?

When I wrote that I had read all the ones that were up.

I just saw Ludwig mentioned it, good man.

assassins creed does not deserve to be on any top ten lists. I played the game, slowly, and it was repetative and the plot made no sense. A game that is supposed to be abot assassins becomes a brawler by the end and there was nbo reason for the magic bull. It was ok, but this is supposed to be a position of honor. I thought NHL 08 was better. Take that for what its worth.

I agree with you on Assassin's, but I also personally feel like Mass Effect doesn't deserve to be on ANY top 10 list. Buggy as hell, shitty save system, boring story, second-rate gameplay (anybody remember Jade Empire?)
I know I'll catch a lot of shit for this, but I feel sure that in a few years my opinion won't seem so crazy. Kind of like the feeling I get that the Wii is destined to collect as much, if not more, dust than my Gamecube ever did (thanks to quality 3rd party support, and the lack thereof).

The fact that Joystiq had the audacity to place Peggle - a joke of a game regardless of its supposed fun, addictive nature - higher than Mass Effect and God of War 2 on their laughable list of top 10 games of 2007 really says a lot about what a reader can expect from Joystiq; a blog that seems more concerned with posting the latest Photoshoped pictures having to do with Bioshock or Portal than posting actual news.

It's interesting, though, to see that Joystiq is more concerned with pleasing their highest demographic than forming logical opinions of their own.

Kratos laughs at the foolishness of this site, as does every other reader that actually tricked themselves into believing that Joystiq was a reputable gaming blog.

By that I mean, aren't the "good" games the ones that we enjoyed the most?

Luddy's are up now, and I'm still working on mine. They'll all be up by this afternoon, along with a roundup post.

I probably wouldn't have come across Desktop Tower Defense or Peggle if not for these Top 10 & Best of the Rest lists. So Joystiq, I thank you.
