An Austrian retail website created a listing for Crysis stating it's coming to Xbox 360 this November. Given the lackluster state of Crysis' sales on the PC it wouldn't be a shock if the game went multi-platform, but this is the first time a snippet of evidence – even an admittedly unreliable retail listing – has entered the channel.
There's currently no PS3 listing on the Austrian website (and we'll spare you the effortless Wii joke) but it'll definitely make for some interesting comparison videos if we get to see the 360 version of Crysis running side-by-side with the demanding PC release.

Crysis is the best game of 2007. The gameplay is simply amazing, and the necessary reduction in graphics will hardly alter the experience. I recently played through it again using my 360 controller, with rumble, and it was one hell of a good time.
The multiplayer is deep, complex, and a shitload of fun. On Xbox-live it will be amazing, and I look forward to hearing all of you whiny bitches who talked shit about the PC version raving about what a great game it is.
Crytek stated that any ports will be handled themselves, so you don't have to worry about any Far Cry: Instincts garbage, or about the crap the Orange Box faces on ps3.
I hope they do it; a game as good as Crysis deserves Halo volumes of sales... and only 360 users seem to be capable of that.

FPS, check. Super soldier protagonist, check. Good multiplayer, check (I'll take your word for it).
Sounds like a game set to appeal to the Halo market, and if it helps the hard-working folks at Crytek make some money then all the better.

Hm, I have seen lots of people referring to it as buggy here and elsewhere. Personally, in multiple play-throughs of the game, I encountered only one main bug: some of the aliens wouldn't explode when defeated, they'd simply fall to the ground. Not game-breaking at all.
As for the AI: best in a game to date, and I mean it. But that's a two-edged sword. Scripted bad guys won't do incredibly stupid stuff, as they're simply too stupid to figure out how. A fully independent AI soldier, however, can decide that life isn't worth living any longer and walk off of a cliff... or accidentally run over some of his allies with a vehicle. Or get a lucky shot when you're cloaked, see the blood, and keep on firing even if you're invisible.
In my opinion the North Koreans were awe inspiring. Genuine surprise and realistic reaction times when you jump up to them using super strength, or decloak, or use super speed to get right next to them. Many people seemed to find their reactions to the cloak unrealistic, but I found it amazing. When you cloak in the middle of combat they seem to shoot where someone trying to hit you really would aim based on where you were. Same with silenced shots, or silenced shots followed by a quick cloak. They search for you; sometimes it can be scary.
The aliens were much simpler, so couldn't exhibit anything amazing, but did their job well. If you tried to evade them by heading onto a roof, or running up a mountain, they'd jump after you. Hiding behind a rock taking potshots and running around it as they seek you... they'll jump over it and do a 360 and start shooting you before you can run. When they hunt in packs it can get pretty awesome...
Oh man, and google Power Struggle if you want to learn about an amazing mutliplayer game mode. Combines everything good about Counter Strike, Call of Duty and Halo. Wow, this game sounds like it was meant for 360 users. =)

IN OTHER NEWS...the real Crysis, besides trying to port this graphics powerhouse game over to the "half definition"360, would be that when everybody picks it up and tries to log on to XBL, the servers will crash and you will have to wait a week to play it. I can even envision a system being put in place by MS in the near future, where you are told you can only purchase certain "blocks ot time" to play on XBL. These "blocks" pertaining to a certain "tiered" amount of service you pay for like whats available with cable company packages. Get ready to pay much more than 50 dollars a year in the future for XBL. What's to stop MS from doing this. You guys already pay full price for everything MS makes available. You're already in the mix. IT IS COMING. YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST.

I saw some video reviews of this and it just seems like it turned out to be a buggy mess with great visuals. Worth a rental maybe.

it was probably a buggy mess because it wasn't being run on the playstation 8, the platform it was designed for.

I wouldn't call it "very buggy".
The only people throwing that around are the ones who hear it from some random person on a forum, so they spout it like they've played it.
The one major flaw I saw in the game was at the last level, where I fall out of the map numerous times.
Working in the QA business, I can say that it's 100% not acceptable. I've worked on titles with a fraction of the budget, and we had to test levels for hours on end, numerous times during the week, to make sure you couldn't fall out of a level and die. How such a thing slipped by, on such an enclosed area, on such a big game, is beyond me.
That aside, I didn't encounter any "bugs" that stood out, so I guess I got lucky.

The game is VERY buggy I played through the whole game, on two occasions the game decided I had completed sections when I actually hadn't.
Upon restarting at my last restore point bosses mysteriously died before me without being killed and the game pushes me onward. As well as having to restore earlier points on the aircraft carrier beacuse every time I tried to reload a weapon I fell through the floor.
Its not the volume of bugs its the major type of bugs that it was allowed to ship with. Perhaps they anticipated a quick patch turn-around and then abandoned their plan when the game didnt sell well (the game is long overdue for an announced patch). Whatever the reason the types of bugs are extremely detrimental to the gameplay, and everyone that plays is it likely to encounter them.
I haven't played a game this obviously buggy in a long time.

PC gaming is not "close to death". But it is no longer the platform for hyperactive kiddies who want to blow shit up. Even so the last NPD sales results were well before the holiday season, I would suspect that sales of Crysis have risen from what was reported 5 weeks ago.
PC gaming, not dead. It is just no longer the place to go if you want to play shooters with auto aim.

Here's the thing. I can tweak Crysis to look beautiful and run amazingly on my rig-- much better than the default settings. Many others can do the same for their rigs. But we are not professionals; just people playing with config files...
With the 360, you will have professional tweakers getting the game to look as good as it can with the best performance on ONE piece of hardware. So Crysis 360 will look a lot better than Crysis PC looks on a PC with specs exactly equivalent to a 360. Certainly the PC version will be superior graphically, but the 360 version will probably be better than anything else available on consoles.

Before crysis even came out Crytek said depending on sales, it would most likely come out on both ps3 and 360 eventually-that they had the engine running already on both consoles.

Maybe if you didn't need to shit gold bricks in order to afford a rig that can handle the game, sales would be better.

Well then i'm out of ideas as to why this game is selling poorly... you seem to be enjoying it on your rig that would cost $600... what do you suggest is the reason... hmm?

it'll come out, even if it'll be a crappy port. if MS has anything to say about it, it WILL come out. the made changes to Far Cry when they ported that to the original Xbox so this is no different.
my guess is that we'll get a very linear version with gimped graphics for the 360 version.

LiK: wrong. The Far Cry ports were handled by Ubisoft people, not Crytek people.
That is comparable to the Ps3 port of the Orange Box being handled by EA and not Valve.
Crytek has assured that any console ports will be handled by them directly. =)

well Jeff, if that's the case, we'll still see a port with gimped graphics for the 360 version if they decide to port it. i don't mind playing a version that won't kill my PC.

Of course the graphics will be nerfed, but they'll still be better than Halo and Call of Duty 4, which really are its only competition on that platform.
