All you need now is Chef Ramsey yelling in your ear about how terrible you are at both cooking food and UT3 maps!

Are PC chefs any good? Psh. Check this picture out: http://www.beyondunreal.com/content/potd_images/krodan_release1.jpg

That's a mod map available on PC and already available for ps3. DM- Krodan. It's as beautiful as anything that shipped with the game... and with better performance! Not sure why Dm-shrine is getting the attention, not really a fan of that map.

There are already hordes of great modders experienced in the unreal engine from past iterations. Quality maps are already available, and in a month or so the must-have maps will be in the double digits. In a few more months, I imagine a few amazing total conversions will be available.

And these modders will be able to reach an audience much larger than just PC gamers, thanks to Epic's brilliant innovation. I'll say it now: if mods become readily available on consoles, and 60 FPS becomes a de facto standard at true-HD resolutions.... I might not be solely a PC gamer much longer.

I think the biggest note to point out is that the engine, UE3, is well... a big deal. People will work on this SDK for a living :P

So ya, the PC chefs are good.

Difficult not to buy this game for the PS3, but I want to wait to get it for the 360 since I know noone with a PS3 right now (well one but he hates FPSs).

Bah I may just have to get it for the PC while I wait. Nah I think 2004 will hold me off for just a bit longer (fires UT2004 up) let the frag fest begin!

As much as I want to tell you to get it right away... the multiplayer is such an amazing aspect of the game. Particularly with the grappling strategies of vCTF, or all the craziness of warfare. Being able to play with your friends over Live will probably be well worth the wait.

But then again, you're probably passing up the chance to use mods. Bah, Microsoft, stop being jerks!

Yeah it is a tough call. But I think I can wait atleast until I can get the finally word from Microsoft and Epic on how the mods will work. Then again I can always get it for PC and play it sitting 2 feet away from a 32inch monitor.

I doubt with UT3 I'll be able to go dual monitors with it though on this computer so I can comment on Joystiq while I frag on UT2004 like I'm doing now.

Well if your PC can handle it I'd think that's the obvious choice, but I guess I'm biased.

Maybe if I was guaranteed a crapload of friends would buy it on 360 I wouldn't be so sure, though =P

Pretty much guaranteed 20-25 friends who will get UT3 for the 360. Only know of one or two personally that may get the PC version. I have rig that could run it pretty easily though. Just dunno if I wanna fool with modifying my ATi drivers to work with the game without ripping and artifacting on my monitor. Ati cards have a much more efficiently designed architecture but damn do their drivers suck balls. Atleast they're able to run max AA, soft shadows and HD lighting on one card.

I can't wait for more custom character models like the older games. I want my Futurama models like in UT2004 and the original UT.

I'd would definitely be worth waiting for this release on the 360. That is, unless...You're waiting for your 360th refurb replacement OR..."Xbox Intermittent's(Live)" servers are not working properly, not allowing you to connect to all your friends, who by the way have intelligently decided to just play on their "free online PS3 version with Mods" while Xbox Intermittent's Servers are being fixed without any explanation to their dedicated faithful as to why they went down in the first place. Oh and of course, we now know the reason for the server's being down would be the fact that the game was just released for the Xbox 360 and everybody logged on to play it. Which of course, would have been their rightful choice, seeing as they pay to play. Where have I heard this before.

i've been debating whether or not to get this game. cod4 is suiting online gaming needs for sure, and i don't know if i should spend what's left of my best buy gift card on another online shooter.

I am quite excited about what kinds of mods people will cook up though.
