Like some sort of nanosuit-powered supersoldier, EA hurled yesterday's Crysis-on-360 rumor into a nearby shed (which, it's worth noting, broke apart and splintered with startling accuracy). Surprising no one, the software giant has said they have "no plans for an Xbox 360 version of Crysis" reports TGR, despite an Austrian retailer listing an "uncut edition" for release in November '08.
The Crysis console question has been considered before – and EA has denied it before – but with sales not blowing any sheds over and a comment by Crytek CEO Cevat Yerli that strong PC sales could convince the developer to work on a console port, we're at an impasse of sorts. Or maybe that was a passive aggressive suggestion: if they sell more on PC then maybe they'll port it to consoles. Hear that PC gamers? Git shopping!

^ Pretty much.
The only people having real troubles are those trying to run it above 1600x1200.
I played through on 1900x1200 with a Core2Duo OC'd @ 3.6GHz, 8800gt, and 2 gigs of ram. Game was playable at high settings, in dx9.
I'd say most people playing on CRT monitors are doing so at 1240x960, or 1080x768, which require much less horsepower.
Buying some "alien ware rig" is a generic phrase to begin with, but I'm sure if you bought something from them, it will run this game.
That being said, when most 360/ps3 games struggle to add 4x FSAA at 1080x768, I have my doubts.

I'd LMFAO if Crysis got ported to PS3 instead, for its "superior processing power".

didnt think so. Crysis is two powerful for consoles. therefore I think a wii port is in order xD.

I think the reason that it hasn't sold so well is the perception among consumers that their computers won't be able to handle it. I think alot of people would be surprised that it will work fine on their computer. Just download the demo and fiddle with the settings.
Crysis is worth it if you have the chance to play it.

My P4 choked on it.
Had to give away to someone with better comp.
I'll stick with Guild Wars for now.
On consoles, you'd expect nothing less than full graphics effects. Crysis on Xbox360 would probably run natively at 360x240 upscaled.

I always thought that doom III on the original xbox and half life 2 was completely impossible, we all know how that turned out and yes it was at much lower resolutions but it played great and so would a port of this game to the xbox360, probably running at the 680p we've all come to love.

Oh what a big surprise. I thought everybody would have learned their lesson since the Spanish Day of the Innocent fake rumor...
And once again for all the blind-folded Americans out there : your country alone means very little for PC game sales. It would be akin to saying that Halo 3 flopped because it didn't sell big numbers in Japan. Just like The Witcher sold over a million copies worldwide a couple of months ago, of which only 5% were from the US, if that.
