Today's most political video and game: Kung-Fu Election
Atom Films hosts Kung-Fu Election, a Mortal Kombat knock-off fighting game starring Republican and Democratic primary front-runners. While the game is fairly deep -- boasting three attack buttons plus special moves -- the intro video snared us. Who knew Obama could shred like that?See the non-embeddable video, play the game, then tell us how far you fared in the democratic

I couldn't even beat Barack...
axt113 @ Jan 5th 2008 2:05AM
Don't feel bad, no one can
Ghen @ Jan 5th 2008 7:29AM
barack did seem harder than the others, he was my 2nd tier with edwards but I whooped his ass.
Joe @ Jan 5th 2008 2:22AM
If anyone should be shredding in that intro, it should be Huckabee. That guy's got 1337 guitar skillz. And some hella-tight politikin' skillz.
jovin6 @ Jan 5th 2008 5:38AM
Yeah. If by "politikin' skillz," you mean pandering to yokels who don't acknowledge evolution and think the earth is less than 10,000 years old.
Poisoned Al @ Jan 5th 2008 7:43AM
You know, I love the US political system. No matter how shit it gets here in the UK, US politics will always be the bigger joke. Sure Huckabee has the corn-fed fuck-tard vote, but he's sure to have problems on the coasts where most people don't consider the age of 14 "my senior year."
Saying that, Obama sucks ass too. How can a black guy be even whiter then I am? Oh with Clinton, female leaders are a BAD idea. Trust me, WE KNOW!
Psaakyrn @ Jan 5th 2008 8:04AM
to Poisoned Al:
Ask Michael Jackson.
Joe @ Jan 5th 2008 11:09PM
Religion, pandering, fuck-tards, religion...
Do you think it's an election year?
Cottonwood @ Jan 5th 2008 2:36AM
I kicked ass with McCain >_>
Myke @ Jan 5th 2008 2:41AM
I got 5 rounds in with Barack, if you just crouch and wait for the other guy to walk towards you it's an easy uppercut every time.
hn333 @ Jan 5th 2008 2:56AM
Cool game, but how do you stop the screen from scrolling up and down every time you hit the up and down key?
Micah @ Jan 5th 2008 7:18AM
No Ron Paul? I'll pass.
Poisoned Al @ Jan 5th 2008 7:34AM
I got to that cheap carpet bombing git Macain with Edwards. Nice little time waster that.
Andrew Burns @ Jan 5th 2008 9:05AM
Where is Ron Paul???
Donald @ Jan 5th 2008 9:25AM
Candidates must have a reasonable chance of winning the election.
Obie @ Jan 5th 2008 10:17AM
He's a hidden character, like Smoke and Noob Saibot!
Ghen @ Jan 5th 2008 10:56AM
Ron Paul isn't a candidate, he's a meme.
LaughingTarget @ Jan 5th 2008 11:49AM
Check Iowa, he did considerably better than anyone gave him credit for.
But...they only had room for 4 and was likely being made well before this went down, so it makes sense he's absent. No one gave him a chance.
Poisoned Al @ Jan 5th 2008 9:06AM

doom saber @ Jan 5th 2008 9:25AM
To poisoned Al,
Barack is actually half white. :p
Poisoned Al @ Jan 5th 2008 12:37PM
HALF white? Have you read what he stands for? He's whiter then a polar bare in a vat of Tipp-Ex!
mr nimblewick @ Jan 5th 2008 1:04PM
What do consider to be a white issue? Is he pro-slavery?
ExYLE @ Jan 6th 2008 2:19AM
how is slavery a white issue? im white and wouldnt mind having WHITE slaves. that said in other countries asians are slaves
Max @ Jan 5th 2008 10:10AM
Just crouch and uppercut. Easy victory almost every time. The only one who can foil this strategy is Barrack. His flock of doves will hit you even when you crouch, so you'll have to change strategy a bit by standing and holding block till he's just in range. Then you do like before and crouch + uppercut.
I almost beat the whole damn game, but there's a glitch in it where if you get frozen by the other guy's special, it won't unfreeze until they hit you. I uppercutted and killed Guiliani right before he jailed me, which left me permanently stuck like that. What a crock of shit.
Jeff @ Jan 5th 2008 10:13AM
Barack is the most badass character in that game. I want a robe like that.
Very much like IRL, I suppose.
Obie @ Jan 5th 2008 10:20AM
I played with Mitt Romney, his crazy mormon powers makes his opponents die of laughter!
Steve @ Jan 5th 2008 5:59PM
I played as Obama, and Romney was my first opponent. He's hard; he turns into a cyborg and starts shooting you with a giant gun. It was funny but frustrating.
ManekiNeko @ Jan 5th 2008 10:27AM
Kind of a missed opportunity. You put Barack Obama in a Mortal Kombat knock-off... and you don't make him look like Baraka? Tsk tsk, developers.
Obie @ Jan 5th 2008 10:41AM
haha good point. Loved Baraka, slicing arms of doom!
doom saber @ Jan 5th 2008 10:42AM
Instead, I think they made Rudy into the Baracka inspired character. A shame they didn't used Barack instead.
Also, is Huckabee the only character to receive a name change? I mean, in the game, he is referred as Suckabee.
murray b @ Jan 5th 2008 11:05AM
Ron Paul has as much of a chance of winning as Richardson or McCain. Damn shame if your going to make an internet game to not include the leading Internet champion. And for Joystiq posters the only candidate who is against any kind of censorship for Video Games.
Ghen @ Jan 5th 2008 1:17PM
Wanting to keep M rated games from being sold to minors does not equal censorship.
murray b @ Jan 5th 2008 1:30PM
No but Obama, Romney, Hillary, Guiliani etc. have all jumped on the video games are the root of all evil kick to help them get elected with dumbasses who think the biggest issues every year are how can we keep the homosexuals in the closet and the mexicans in the field and ignore actual issues like our falling dollar (falling...like a rock) and the subprime mortgage mess.
LaughingTarget @ Jan 5th 2008 1:32PM
Only difference between Hildog and Paul is Paul doesn't want to regulate it. He thinks they should be out of the hands of minors, but won't use Governments to enforce it. Not the place of Government.
James @ Jan 5th 2008 11:07PM
A game with politicians kicking each other's asses that does not include Fred Thompson? Fail.
Besides, Thompson beat McCain in Iowa -- you Ronulans never break out of the single digits.
maxx @ Jan 6th 2008 2:35AM
10% = single digits? I don't know much about you Thompsonites, but you don't represent your candidate well if you're that poor at math.
James @ Jan 6th 2008 4:26PM
Let it not be said that I refuse to apologize -- I'm sorry; I thought he had gotten 6%, probably based on an early poll. I don't hate the guy, but some of his crazier stuff (no military operations anywhere, gold standard for currency) is just too far out there for me. I like that he wants smaller government, though.
