Though we're saddened to have to wait, can we at least look forward to a LBP demo sometime in the spring? Or maybe Home? Anything? Hello? All we can say on behalf of all the PS3 owner out there is that Metal Gear Solid 4 had better be awesome.

GT5P coming soon too. So there are things coming for PS3 owners.
And that's not to mention the cross-platform games coming like GTA4, which although not exclusive to the PS3 will provide a lot of fun for PS3 owners.
Spring isn't a big time anyway, do 360 owners have anything to look forward to in this timeframe? Wii owners sure do with Super Smash Bros.

Who really cares though, 360 owners have Halo 3, Gears, and Mass Effect to play until then :-P
But seriously, the only anticipated games for the PS3 are also on the 360 (Turok (not really THAT anticipated :\), Burnout Paradise, Devil May Cry (again, not everyone cares)) so really LBP is the next best thing to a decent game the PS3 has Exclusive. Though Haze should count for something.

Haze? What on earth is Haze about, all I'm seeing is a generic looking FPS that'll likely have a little twist but fail on a Perfect Dark Zero level.

Fixed that one for you, paragraph. And since we're talking about games coming out in the future: Gran Tourismo 5, Metal Gear Sold 4, Killzone 2, and God of War 3.
And now do we get to hear about how these games aren't any good because the 360 controller is so superior or because they don't have achievements? Its really mind boggling that people are still trying the "lol no games" thing.

Haze is coming from a reputable dev, not sure why a lot of people are always so quick to dismiss it... oh wait, it's because they are PS3 haters. It's going to feature 4-player co-op which, IMO, adds a lot to just about any game. Other than that there's stuff like Echochrome, InFamous, Wipeout HD, HSG5, MSG4, and GT5 coming. Not sure if they will all pan out, but that's true of any release. Then you have all the various multiplatform games. PS3 gamers aren't going to be hurting for any games.

Nice work ignoring everything else. Oh, that's because you're grasping at straws to find something wrong with "there are games other than Haze, here's the list." Didn't realize there was some arbitrary time limit meaning GOW3 isn't a game and that a few touched up screenshots invalidated the Killzone 2 gameplay footage, which looked great.
I'm as skeptical about games as anyone should be, but if you anticipate everything as being shit, why even bother getting the console? I take what I can get for info, and if that info looks good, I expect a good game until it appears otherwise.

I don't he was referencing to the touched up screenshots, it's more likely he was referencing to the mediocre prequel. Pretty graphics is pretty much the only thing Killzone 2 has right now (unless I missed some amazingly original gameplay trailer, which is totally possible).

You know you are grasping at straws when you list racing games and sports games, the 360 has those in spades (Forza 2 + PGR4). I've only vaguely heard about InFamous, and have no idea when it's coming out. MGS4 should be good.
That all being said, out of the three consoles the PS3 has the most promising 2008, with a lot of anticipated titles coming out, I hope they turn out more like Uncharted and lees like Lair. I can't think of many 360 titles in 2008... Fable 2? Ninja Gaiden 2? Banjo-Kazooie 3? I don't know when any of these games come out though.

True, true. I was actually trying to say that the 360 has the better racing games and sports games, so these games coming out won't sway a lot of fence-sitters, but it's great for current PS3 owners. Also good news for race fans that want to use other steering wheels than the crappy MS wheel.

That's not what I got out of it, but yeah, Killzone 1 was pretty meh. That doesn't somehow rob KZ2 of it's potential. As games go, the Spiderman movie series wasn't a pinnacle of anything, but 2 was superior to 1 in almost every way.
I don't recall another game using an all first person cover mechanic. Its definitely not a new thing to have a cover system, but its a new take on one. Like I said, I'm hoping for the best from any and every game; you can't go wrong with too many amazing things to play. It looks like they made the reactions of people being shot satisfying to watch and the cover looks neat (better than Haze's drug thing).
They're certainly not reinventing the FPS, but I'm not sure anything really ever has. It all just seems to tweak things for the better as time progresses.

That's what I'm doing, by that time maybe Home will be ready and Little Big Planet be running. I've bought the Wii last Christmas, the 360 this Christmas and PS3 next Christmas.

I'm having a hard time holding interest in LBP anymore. The concept sounded awesome at first, but everything that's been shown has me snoozing in Mehville.
Still, it's not out yet, so I'm holding out that the final product is as enticing as the original concept was.

It's true, people were praising the Spike VGAs trailer up and down, when I thought it was rubbish. They basically just showed a bunch of quick cuts of players going through menus and not really doing anything.
That was the fault of bad editing and direction though, and I don't think it's a sign of any problem with the game. All you need to do to prove that is to watch the full gameplay trailers instead of the hyper-edited ADD ones.

Halo could very well be long in the tooth... I never stated anything to the contrary.
The FF series, between all the different systems and versions, has at least 10 times as many games out as Halo though, so if you insist on comparing apples to oranges, I'd say FF has probably overstayed it's welcome longer than Halo.

Well, I look forward to NG2 more than GT and MGS4. Gran Turismo is a game that looks nice, but I've bought every single one released and it's starting to get old for me. Metal Gear lost my respect after MGS2. I just can't bring myself to buy another Metal Gear game after that abomination.
Ninja Gaiden has yet to fail in my book. Bought every version of the game except Sigma, but that's only a matter of time.

And it would look like a last-gen title. If it had any multiplayer, it would be tied to crappy "friend codes". And with the Wii's lack of storage, the driving force behind LBP's greatness (user-created content) would be impossible.
I love me Wii. Galaxy has given me a sense of gaming bliss I haven't felt since I first fired up my 64 at launch. But LBP just wouldn't work on the Wii in the way it will work on the PS3. Their network and storage limitations would break the game.
