GT5P coming soon too. So there are things coming for PS3 owners.
And that's not to mention the cross-platform games coming like GTA4, which although not exclusive to the PS3 will provide a lot of fun for PS3 owners.
Spring isn't a big time anyway, do 360 owners have anything to look forward to in this timeframe? Wii owners sure do with Super Smash Bros.

Who really cares though, 360 owners have Halo 3, Gears, and Mass Effect to play until then :-P
But seriously, the only anticipated games for the PS3 are also on the 360 (Turok (not really THAT anticipated :\), Burnout Paradise, Devil May Cry (again, not everyone cares)) so really LBP is the next best thing to a decent game the PS3 has Exclusive. Though Haze should count for something.

Haze? What on earth is Haze about, all I'm seeing is a generic looking FPS that'll likely have a little twist but fail on a Perfect Dark Zero level.

Haze is coming from a reputable dev, not sure why a lot of people are always so quick to dismiss it... oh wait, it's because they are PS3 haters. It's going to feature 4-player co-op which, IMO, adds a lot to just about any game. Other than that there's stuff like Echochrome, InFamous, Wipeout HD, HSG5, MSG4, and GT5 coming. Not sure if they will all pan out, but that's true of any release. Then you have all the various multiplatform games. PS3 gamers aren't going to be hurting for any games.

True, true. I was actually trying to say that the 360 has the better racing games and sports games, so these games coming out won't sway a lot of fence-sitters, but it's great for current PS3 owners. Also good news for race fans that want to use other steering wheels than the crappy MS wheel.

That's what I'm doing, by that time maybe Home will be ready and Little Big Planet be running. I've bought the Wii last Christmas, the 360 this Christmas and PS3 next Christmas.

I'm having a hard time holding interest in LBP anymore. The concept sounded awesome at first, but everything that's been shown has me snoozing in Mehville.
Still, it's not out yet, so I'm holding out that the final product is as enticing as the original concept was.

It's true, people were praising the Spike VGAs trailer up and down, when I thought it was rubbish. They basically just showed a bunch of quick cuts of players going through menus and not really doing anything.
That was the fault of bad editing and direction though, and I don't think it's a sign of any problem with the game. All you need to do to prove that is to watch the full gameplay trailers instead of the hyper-edited ADD ones.

Halo could very well be long in the tooth... I never stated anything to the contrary.
The FF series, between all the different systems and versions, has at least 10 times as many games out as Halo though, so if you insist on comparing apples to oranges, I'd say FF has probably overstayed it's welcome longer than Halo.

Well, I look forward to NG2 more than GT and MGS4. Gran Turismo is a game that looks nice, but I've bought every single one released and it's starting to get old for me. Metal Gear lost my respect after MGS2. I just can't bring myself to buy another Metal Gear game after that abomination.
Ninja Gaiden has yet to fail in my book. Bought every version of the game except Sigma, but that's only a matter of time.

But unfortunately there are loudmouth jerks on both "sides" of this that love to shout when one console doesn't have as many games coming as the other. Before it was the 360, now it's the PS3 that has the big list. Either way, games coming out is good for gamers.

And it would look like a last-gen title. If it had any multiplayer, it would be tied to crappy "friend codes". And with the Wii's lack of storage, the driving force behind LBP's greatness (user-created content) would be impossible.
I love me Wii. Galaxy has given me a sense of gaming bliss I haven't felt since I first fired up my 64 at launch. But LBP just wouldn't work on the Wii in the way it will work on the PS3. Their network and storage limitations would break the game.
