New games this week: Harvey Birdman edition

There are a few somewhat decent-looking titles this week, a welcome change from the mini drought that's been plaguing us since mid-December. But of all the titles on the list we're most looking forward to getting our hands on Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law. We have no idea how well the series will translate to a game, but as fans of the show, we're looking forward to seeing the results. Check the full list after the jump.

There isn't an attorney in this universe who can beat Phoenix Wright. Even if spandex is involved.

Isn't harvey birdman basically a reskin and rewrite of phoenix wright anyway?

Besides, the problem with Phoenix is he's a dirty thief. He took Edgeworths $38.00 as a child.

Yes, I know this is Capcom, and that it's basically the same game, and I'm gonna get it. I was just joking about the new attorney of the "series".

Why this game gets such a cool cover, anyway? I mean, I'm kinda partial to the show, but, damn!

Nothing can portray the utter ridiculousness and frivolous attitude of the show better for it's video game counterpart than a ridiculously serious looking game cover.

It is actually made by High Voltage, a company who is known to make license games like Family Guy, The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, and Leisure Suit Larry Magna Cum Laude. High Voltage games are ho hum most of the time. Capcom only produced this game.

Because the DS couldn't handle all the animation and voice clips in the game. Probably too much data for a 128MB Game Card, or even a 256MB one.

It's because of all the n00bs.

played the demo at ComicCon. while it obviously holds some simularities to our esteemed colleague Phoenix Wright, its a different game. well, as different as a collect-investigate-and-present-evidence-in-court game can be.

its HBAAL for chrissake and its funny. no replay value or difficulty whatsoever, just an interactive episode (or three)

I welcome a drought. With the swarm of games that passed, I'll be lucky to catch up for the next big wave.

I loved the Pheonix Wright DS games, and I loved the Harvey Birdman cartoon, so this game is a no-brainer for me.

Wait Sonic Riders comes out this week?

ANY chance it will be decent? haha.
