Nyko offering plethora of peripherals in early '08

- Wireless Nunchuk: Two AAA batteries (included) supposedly give 30 hours of gameplay; suggested price of $30.
- Xbox 360 Charge Base: Reminiscent of the Sixaxis charger redesign, suggested price is also $30.
- Frontman wireless guitars (Wii and PS3): Frontman for Wii is fully compatible with Guitar Hero III and the PS3 version is compatible with Guitar Hero III and Rock Band. PS3 and Wii guitars will be $60 and $50 respectively.
- PSP-2000 Charger Grip: "Ergonomic grips" with built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery that should last 10 hours for $30.
- PS3 Zero Wireless Controller: Up to 25 hours with rechargeable NiMH battery with motion sensing and vibration. Suggested price of $60.

Cool, now they make the Nunchuck ribbed for her pleasure...
DeltaP42 @ Jan 7th 2008 10:15PM
Also, those PS3 controllers look just about as comfortable as a buttplug.
Mikey @ Jan 7th 2008 10:25PM
what were they thinking when they put the screw on the front. its very strange.
colin @ Jan 7th 2008 10:35PM
are you speaking of the screw on the guitars?
if so, it is to attach a neck strap. "real" guitars have them also. hopefully these stay attached better than the originals.

Isn't the rule that 3rd party controllers cost...y'know...less?
Psaakyrn @ Jan 7th 2008 10:33PM
Not if they offer something more.
Mikey145 @ Jan 7th 2008 10:49PM
@colin
No its the ps3 controllers with the screws all over the front
Mullinsmcd @ Jan 7th 2008 10:49PM
ugh they had to make the wii guitar look more like the rock band one and the PS3 one more like the GH3 one. Hard to win with these people. I will be picking up a 2nd guitar for my PS3 and I was planning on getting this one but now that I know it looks so ugly I might just stick with a first party axe and skip out on GH3 altogether.

If you actually look at the construction closely, it makes more sense. The front side panels where your palm to your thumb rests is an aluminum plate.
Mullinsmcd @ Jan 8th 2008 8:04AM
Sorry I meant "pick up another axe for Rock Band"
WiNG @ Jan 7th 2008 11:10PM
Wireless Nunchuck ftw. I will probably sell my current nunchucks and grab two of these. It really is too cool to pass up, especially if the Nyko nunchuck has a better control stick (i.e. concave and not convex top)

No mo' whiplash!
loof @ Jan 8th 2008 1:21AM
I'll be sticking with the regular nunchuck myself. I don't have any issue with the wire and I don't need another device to eat up my batteries.
DCBlack @ Jan 8th 2008 1:26AM
Finally! A guitar to work with both games. I hope it's high quality because I'm getting some cash together and buying it.
hvnlysoldr @ Jan 8th 2008 2:09AM
AGGH! My fingers! Why Joystiq WHY!
Pawsie @ Jan 8th 2008 7:32AM
eh.. everything else looks cool, but I like the idea of being able to find my nunchuck when I want it. And why get more batteries for something that's primiarly wireless?
Evan @ Jan 8th 2008 8:54AM
This post, combined with http://www.joystiq.com/2008/01/07/rez-hd-extra-controllers-double-as-trance-vibrators-seriously/ gives me an idea of what peripheral Nyko should make...
Superstar90 @ Jan 8th 2008 9:12AM
I like the PSP grip thing, but why does it have batteries?
Roto13 @ Jan 8th 2008 1:28PM
Why would I ever bother with a wireless nunchuck? It's not like it ever gets in the way. I guess this is the way to go if you want to start buying AAA batteries again.
