This does look to be a good year for the psp, Unfortunately with the cancellation of the gran turismo game for the psp the already meager list of games coming out got a whole lot meeker. I work at a retail game store (betcha can't guess which one =P) And the lists for coming soon titles on every other system is atleast three times longer than it is for the psp. In my opinion sony should work on a deal with Square-enix to bring all of their old classics to the psp. final fantasy 6, final fantasy 7, xenogears, chrono trigger, secret of mana, hell maybe even final fantasy 9. Not to mention the early star ocean games which are already being made for japan but have no release dates yet in the US.

Yeah the immediate future looks good for the psp... but there is no evidence of staying power and until there is, I'll be wary.

Alexisonfire is good stuff. Best thing to come out of Canada :P

As for the list: This year will be a good year for the PSP. Can't wait to get my hands on God of War.

Yeah most of the stuff on this list look great.

But is Flatout bugging anybody else? It looks too good to be true.

Probably 2009. For proof, just look how long it's taking to get Crisis Core.

Nah... I would say it will be a fall or summer release depending on what else SE is releasing on other consoles.

Am I the only one not bothered with Wipeout Pulse. It came out here last year and it's just so... well maybe I'm not into the series. I wanted an F-Zero on the DS but it doesn't look like thats happening. Wipeout is just too slippery and the use of weapons detracts from the racing focus.

I've only been on that "make your own race" mode since you're forced into weapons/items on the championship mode.

What am I missing?

i haven't played either of the PSP wipeout games, but i was never a fan of the original PSX ones. i just couldn't get into it, it was much to frustrating. i hated how merely grazing a wall wouldn't bring you to an almost complete stop. i much prefer f-zero.

however, i'm willing to give the series another shot, since i'm a bit more dedicated now, and am anxiously awaiting a downloadable demo of pulse, so i can give the series another shot. it's certainly cool looking enough to warrant a second chance from me.

god of war and crisis core will be the main show stealers, i think. excited for them as well as patapon/downstream..though everyone is saying how the fish game is a bullshit immitation by atari, so i dunno.
was never a big fan of racers but wipeout is the only series i actually like. i only own the ps2 game though, how much better are the psp games?

btw, i have the xyanide demo on my memory stick..the full version of this game could be really fun. definitely addictive and fun to look at.
