Codemasters Online is producing a Blizzcon style event called Codemasters Online Connect 2008 (that's just not a sexy name) featuring its lineup of MMO games. Attendees will log into the real world at Omega Sektor in Birmingham, England on March 14 and 15 to log right back out again on 400 PCs running various Codemaster Online games. Alternatively, they can stick around the real world a little bit for round-table discussions and pose questions to the "Codemasters Online team." Ticket prices have yet to be announced.
The event will showcase games already out like Lord of the Rings Online and Dungeons & Dragons Online, and will apparently offer some game announcements. So, if you're looking for a Blizzcon featuring the second tier MMOs currently on the market, get ready to pack your bags for Birmingham.

But on the upside, your KKK hood might be able to double as a Gandalf the White hat, if you felt like cosplaying.

Holy crap, he called it "England" and not "Britain" or "UK". +100 respect points for correct name usage.
I don't think I'll be going to this though. Even if I didn't suck at geography and actually knew where Birmingham is, I still don't think I'd go.

Actually, they - and you - are incorrect.
The United Kingdom is a country, and England - along with Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland - are merely constituent countries.
I would also like to point out that since I live in Birmingham (UK) I should damn well know that. Know not only that, but know Omega Sektor is quite nice and VERY easily accessed from Birmingham International Airport by bus or taxi.
Since I'm so close to there (just an hours bus journey which costs me nothing since I have a pass to go to school which I can user whenever I like - great for me!) I may just go along if the tickets are cheap enough.
It's nice to see that something approaching good (ie. not a Faeces Convention) in the UK isn't in London for once. Birmingham's actually great since we have the NEC, NIA, ICC and Symphony Hall here - all great venues. So stop writing scatching things about Birmingham; it's better than London in some respects.

Actually, I'm not incorrect. England is a country in it's own right, the "UK" is a corroboration of countries, and "Britain" is the a landmass that contains three separate countries within its shores -- Scotland, England and Wales. I was born in England and therefore I consider myself English, and refuse to call myself "British".
It's the same as how "America" is not one country. There's the United States of America, Canada, Mexico, etc.
