nice point but you really didnt make no sence. why dont u sit this one out and buy that when it does launch? people are complaining about $1000 for a hd dvd player or a blu one when it launched, try the next big thing. suddenly we'l hear bill gates again saying 'consumer dont need more than 15 gigs' and all that crap.

Thats funny, it says the consumer has not clearly chosen Blu-ray.. lol

Blu-ray already has overtaken Hardware (Standalone and PS3) and Software (Blu-ray Discs and Blu-ray Transfers to the PSP thru PS3) against the HD-DVD already....

And that is by consumer choice. They dont have to buy an Blu-ray if they dont want too....

Guys, this format war is over. I was a huge HD supporter and since it was easily the most consumer friendly format on the market, i really wanted it to win. But it's over. I liquidated all my HD stuff and bought a 40 GB PS3 for Blu-Ray movies.

I tried a couple of game demos on the PS3 and clearly that system was meant as a means to get Blu-Ray to win the HD disk market first and 2nd as a game machine. Hell games are a distant 2nd consideration for the PS3.

At this point it's all good. 360 for the best games and social experience and the PS3 for Blu-Ray movies and the occasional web surfing on my 65" HD set.
