If you saw our coverage -- don't click yet if you didn't -- you know the Guitar Hero-related jokes from the final* Bill Gates CES keynote. But even if you know the premise, these videos are worth watching as a study in tradeshow comedy. Is humor in the timing or the delivery?See the keynote comedy after the break.

On the second video, I had to stop watching mid-way through. Painfully unfunny. Amazing that with so much money to spend paying celebrities to appear, Microsoft couldn't pay a decent comedy scriptwriter (like how about hiring the people who really do write for The Office)?

I couldn't stomach to even watch. I saw a capture of Gates and his dork associate with matching attire standing next to rock and roll's new has been, Slash. I was so glad they got the memo about wearing different colored sweaters.
And to think, these are the guys running the 360 revolution. Sad.

A great comedian once said a good joke can be used three times. A bad joke dies once -- so why the hell is Microsoft parading around this corpse?

Wow. I had no idea that a keynote at CES was up for an Emmy or an Oscar. Since when do people hire comedy writers for things that 99% of the general public WILL NOT SEE. You are forgetting that you just watched this on Gametrailers.com, not SNL.

When he was in front of the marker board I expected the scene to go something like this.
(Narration) Bill has always been a big help in R&D.
(Bill) ...For example, how can you draw new helpful characters with all this math on here? *Proceeds to erase all their hard work*

Yeah, I'm glad they touched on that particular episode, it never sat well with me :(
