As some said earlier, it was kind of nice to have for the geek cred. It took about 2-3 months for me to get mine and there were a few good deals at first, but they just got progressively worse. I really don't see this lasting as a paid service considering that many didn't use it when it was free.

This thing could be worth $7 if they were to really overhaul the program and offer a wider variety of deals and merchants. If it stays the same, well, one less card in my wallet.

Microsoft Employees have access to a "Microsoft Prime" card via "Passport Unlimited." It has a hell of a lot more deals than Diamond, and if you're truly getting the same discounts MS employees are, it's worth it.

I keep thinking I'd use the Quiznos coupons, but alas, I never have. The thing is useless to me, and with a fee attached, now it's worse than useless. What could they possibly be thinking here?

My wife and I use it quite a bit...only for the rent 1 get 1 free at hollywood video...

Don't know if I'd pay for that savings though. But it definitely would pay for itself the first time we would use it...

I think that MS is using their dominant US position in this gen of gaming to drive revenue and recoup the investment they've put in the past 5 yrs. I think that they'll make up all the losses from the past five in the next 2 and from there on it will be pure gravy and become the next pillar of MS

yup, never used mine. I eventually just used it (along with a library card and old Hollywood Video membership) to prop up a wobbly chair. It's still there.

I have a card, and I've used it numerous times, but I think its more due to where I actually am.

Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey is like 70 bucks a ticket per visit, but using the diamond card, the tickets come out to about 35 bucks. For one person going multiple times, it sucks, but for different friends that you go with, it's actually a pretty cool thing. I get a season pass since I go so often, and thats only a little over 100 bucks, but again, for those who go with different people everytime, it works sort of like a "buy 1, get 1" type of thing.

Thats about the only thing I've used it for, however, and will never pay a fee to have this card.

I use mine to get buy-1-get-1 free Quizno's subs on a weekly basis. $6.95 is the cost of 1 sub at Quizno's, so I'll be paying for this bad boy for sure.

I used mine for movie tickets. You had to order them online, but it was $7.50 for unrestricted ones and $6.50 for ones where you could see recently released movies. I surely won't pay for this though. I'll just stock up on a bunch of movie tickets before it expires (the tickets do not).

I love how Microsoft just keeps on fucking charging gamers for shit that should be free/they do not need and people just buy it because its Microsoft.

Note: This is coming from a X-Box user last gen that loved his a lot!

I use the Hollywood Video rent-one-get-one coupons all the time. Ironically, the free one is usually a Wii or PS3 game. If they keep this offer, I'd be more than happy to pay $7 a year (considering rentals are like $8 a piece). Chances are, they'll get rid of this offer though. Guess I should RTFA...

Wow, I remember they used to have buy one get one free any sandwich at quiznos when these things 1st rolled out for a period of about 6 months... I'd buy a large prime rib sandwich (about 10 bucks) and always get the other free... probably got about 100 worth of free sandwiches.. if they still had that deal id gladly pay 6.95 a year for it.

Its mostly print out coupons and if you used it alot it could be worth 7 bucks a year but not for me. I think the best thing is the rent 1 get 1 free at Hollywood(one coupon per-day). Too bad most people do the all you can watch rental things though this would still be nice if you only occationally rented. Now that one for Popeyes buy a 3 strip combo get a 3 piece chicken meal free doesn't look too bad.
