Understandably, you've likely gotten tired of hearing about the Chintendo Vii and now yearn for a truly next-gen knockoff. Allow us to bestow that description upon the Phony "Winner," a marvelous new device which not only (and poorly) apes the PlayStation 3's aesthetics, but the Vii's motion-sensing gimmickry -- itself nothing more than Wii mimicry. The repetitive sequence of effortless cloning culminates in a $120 - $150 package offering photo viewing, karaoke, media storage and, amazingly enough, both 2-D and 3-D games.
With so many astonishing features, a winner is you if a Winner is what you get.

Why, just because it has the first two letters of Chinese in it? You might as well say that Nintendo is racist to Nigerians.
Their just letters, racism has nothing to do with it. Tommy Hilfiger, now he's racist

Offended at nothing. Stuff like that is exactly what keeps racism alive.
"Does China have like zero laws at all about trademarks and such?"
I'm not sure, I think they do but they just turn a blind eye way too often.

How is that racist? China + Nintendo = Chintendo. Its a play on words, which doesn't include the use of any racial slurs at all.

Once upon a time, there was a country made out of a bunch of Asian islands who used to copy and manufacture the shit out of everything from the Western world, and for cheaper.
Engineering developed over imitation and reverse engineering.
In less than a century, they are one of the biggest poles of the videogame industry.
That country is Japan.

For the record, is anyone actually planning on buying one of these when it appears in the malls? Maybe if I see a Winner Fanboy, but otherwise, I doubt I'll be buying it myself.

According to Wii Fanboy, the creators are planning to push it in the Japanese and American market. Therefore, it'll most likely be in stores for a couple weeks. Probably not long enough for too many people to notice, of course, unless it's actually worth buying and playing. Like I said, I probably won't buy it unless I see an actual Winner Fanboy.

I love the fact that even the in the knock offs the PS3 is on the high-end. Maybe if they make a 360 knock off it will be middle of the road in features but with great online support. I might have to change my name from "Viifanboy" to "Winnerfanboy" but the cost is a bit prohibitive.
also, of course it will blend.

I'm really starting to get offended by all of the Vii and Winner bashing from Sony, Nintendo and MS Fanboys. Do you guys own either the Vii or Winner? Have you ever played a game for either?
Just give it time for game developers to get the codding right and you will begin to see some good games for both of these systems, and then we'll see who's laughing.

The Vii is actually a Wii knockoff. It looks like a Wii, it plays like a Wii, it has games that are actually ripoffs of Wii games in name and function, its name is obviously an attempt to make people who aren't paying enough attention think it's a Wii (I'm thinking of Coke-Cola as an example for when Coca-Cola first became popular).
And if you open it, all it has is a single motherboard half the size of the entire console and wires running to the items on the outside. And, I'm not sure if it does or not, but it may have a fan. I haven't checked the picture in a while.
In every way, it's meant to cash in on the Wii's popularity through "settling for this," or someone not paying attention when they are shopping. That's why we're mocking it so much. At least, that's why I mock the Vii. I just like to mock things, serious or not ;).
Of course, to answer your question, no, I don't own one, nor have I ever played it. I actually want to try it out, though, see if it works well or not. I wouldn't plan on buying one, but trying it would be fun.
As for the Winner, I think it's far more likely to be an actual console with a fanboy site than the Vii.
Anyways, I forgot what my point was with these ramblings...

Secre,
Sorry I guess my sarcasm was not very obvious, but I really could care less about either of these rip-offs.

i dont get it, does copyright infringement not apply to China? seriously, you know you have a popular product when someone in China makes a cheap knock-off of it.
