WeGame makes gameplay video sharing easy
GameTrailers, GameVideos, YouTube ... it's not like we're hurting for ways to watch video game clips online these days. So today's public beta launch of WeGame.com might seem a little redundant. But there are a few reasons we like this new little site. For one, the site is focused on entertaining gameplay videos and machinima, not gameplay-free promotional "trailers" or gamers cursing about NES games. For another, it comes with a simple, free tool for easily recording video from 22 popular PC games and uploading it to the site. And with $500,000 in venture capital funding, according to CrunchBase, this isn't some fly-by-night operation.
The beta already has some entertaining clips -- we particularly liked the automotive zombie melee and the clip of heavy firepower in Portal. All we need now is a way to record console performances, then we'll be golden. WeGame staff ... get on it!

I really like this site, and I've only spent a couple minutes with it. Can't wait to really dig deep into this bad boy.

Ugh, that Angry Nintendo Nerd or whatever he calls himself is just so annoying. It might be funny if he had good comedic timing or at least knew a thing or two about delivery, but alas...he does not.

Woo! Double post!
ThornedVenom @ Jan 10th 2008 2:34AM
That type of double-posting has been happening too often lately on Joystiq.
Hope they find and solve the bug.

I think the AVN is cool, he does all his stuff himself and his reviews can be pretty funny. Just watch his "power glove" review, good stuff.

I like AVGN as well. Watch his tribute of Nintendo Power with the ad song.

I hate to be a spoil sport or anything, but GeeVee.com has been around for ages.
Scoota @ Jan 10th 2008 12:42AM
its not like geevee or youtube- the site itself is the same, but it comes with software that makes it way easy to upload and manage your videos. picture fraps with a web interface for uploading your videos, but free.

I just dont see why they have to fix something that isnt broken. I mean we already have youtube and that works fine and if the clip is really that good then it is picked up by a blog or digg or something
ThornedVenom @ Jan 10th 2008 2:36AM
It's not fixing: it's competition geared towards a niche audience.
In other words, it's for commercial reasons, not engineering ones. And even engineers like fixing stuff which aren't broken.
