Europe gets a date for Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker

A 2008 release date for Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker was always on the cards for Europe, and Square Enix has now settled on March 14th. Yes, that's a whole 146 days after the ~~Pokémon pretender~~ monster-hunting RPG first arrived in North America, and well over a year since it cropped up in Japan, but heck, are we really all that surprised? We probably don't need to mention that the region won't be seeing any consolatory preorder bonuses.

Well, Kingdom Hearts 2 took until September 2006 to hit Europe... Pretty bad considering it was out December 2005 in Japan and March 2006 to hit America.
However, with the impending release of "The World Ends With You" (Was "Subarashiki kono Sekai") with no NA release date to be found... One has to question... What the hell does Square Europe do all day? Why does one game somehow get released within 3-4 months of Japanese release to another taking 13 months? Do they do it on purpose or what? Are we just there to pick up the pieces after sales have slowed in NTSC regions or the main focus for those hard-to-sell titles?
