All of these peripherals are RETARDED. What the hell is the Wii remote for if we're constantly putting SHELLS over it?? With all of these stupid peripherals you wind up spending more on your Wii than you would buying a 360 Elite!!

I can understand the Wii Classic Controller and the Nun chuck, because they actually have BUTTONS on them. But the zapper, the wheel, and all of these other useless SHELLS that add absolutely no extra functionality whatsoever are really pissing me off. Unless it has extra buttons on it (and not just a button on top of another button), it's STUPID.

As far as the Wii zapper, goes, it's designed to that all of the buttons are accessible. This stupid "perfect shot" only crates complications by blocking the top buttons. "Perfect shot" is anything but. The original E3 zapper actually had a *gasp* ANALOG STICK built onto it!! Then you could have TWO analog sticks when you ran the nunchuck through it! *sarcasm* AMAZINGZ!!

This is what I hate about Nintendo, they say their gonna do something by showing it at E3 then they take it back and replace it with something that is a load of shit (the zapper, DSTV, DSpeak, [insert list of things I want that Nintendo refuses to give])

The simplicity of the Wii Remote was probably one of the biggest selling points of the Wii. All of these peripherals are just making the Wii complicated again.

I picked up the Perfect Shot on Amazon for, liek $12 or $13 bucks. So well worth the money. I use it on Ghost Squad, -which I also picked up on Amazon the day the had it fir $20, and it's great! I like the Wii Zapper too, but I'd recommend the Perfect Shot!

I also use the Perfect Shot for Ghost Squad and it works very well. The only complaint I have is it is very awkward to use the A button for the action sequences but I'm sure it is the same for the Zapper

Go into the setup menu and change your controller type to Wii Zapper. That allows you to use the Nunchuck's button as the action button, instead of the A button. It is much better that way.

I've played w/ the Zapper at a friends house and I LOATE it.

I've got two perfect shots and have played through Ghost Squad and RE:UC, frankly - the thing is amazing.

Is it necessary to enjoy those games? No, of course not - But it just FEELS better.

Have 2 Perfect Shots, used for RE:UC, and they're not bad. My accuracy seems better, esp. on headshots - but that may just be due to experience.

My likes are this:
-"Pass-through" for peripherals isn't "room to run the cord through" - it's a compatible plug into the remote, and out the bottom. Nice.

-Trigger is pretty solid & responsive.

My gripes are this:
-Have to remove the safety strap before inserting. Why couldn't they leave space, as the official GH3 controller does?

-Grip is too wide/broad for me to hold comfortably (and I have big hands). My wife has the same complaint.

-Grip also seems too short vertically to get all my fingers on comfortably.

-Hard to access the A button on games you can't reconfigure (RE:UC; Z doesn't work for Quicktime events!)

All in all, not bad for 12 bucks apiece, and I expect they'll grow on me.

Look closer at the setup screen. You can select a Zapper layout that maps Z to action scenes in RE:UC.

I bought 2 Perfect Shots from Amazon, like many others here, for $12.99. They work exceptionally well for Ghost Squad and RE: UC.

However, I was playing Link's Crossbow Training with them and found them to work worse than the Wii Zapper because the targets are so small. Plus, the gun is very light and needs to be stabilized with two hands. But the best way to play Link's Crossbow Training is with Wiimote and Nunchuk in hand.

I was just discussing this with friends yesterday. We were all considering buying it. This video just makes me want it all the more. I'll probably pick it up whenever I find Umbrella Chronicles cheap (I should've gotten it from Amazon after Christmas, when it was last on sale!)

Nyko have built good quality products for the Wii. Its charging station has been well received (http://uk.gear.ign.com/articles/764/764273p1.html) and its wireless nunchuck controller looks set to be a hit (http://nintendo.joystiq.com/2008/01/11/wireless-nunchuck-is-the-best-at-ces-according-to-cnet/). However, I am a colour coordinated idiot and I find the 'Nyko' branding and the use of blue to be rather ugly, which has put me off buying their products.

I'm surprised at the hgh quality of Nyko products- I think that I would certainly prefer this gun to the Zapper.

Nintendo should buy Nyko.

I hate to say it but I actually prefer the zapper... and I waited a long time to buy a Perfect Shot and had the highest hopes after reading all the glowing reviews of it. Here are the problems.
1) the trigger is spring loaded but I find it too hard to activate; the zapper trigger is more sensitive to fire and is easier to use for rapid shots. i like more of a hair trigger.
2) the Perfect Shot is a large gun and not the easiest to wield. I have big hands so I cant imagine a child or woman being able to use this thing comformtably.
3) the aiming sight is useless. This could have been fixed by having a dial that elevates or lowers the wii remote slightly as it sits in the gun--both the zapper and the perfect shot have to be used from the hip.

As far as looks go, the Perfect Shot wins hands down. I just wish it was slightly smaller and the trigger was easier to activate.
