How about that, another game released on an MS system not going to be finished on DS.

Come on people we've been through this already, if it's made exclusive for an Xbox system, it's NOT coming to the Nintendo DS.

I think they cancelled it because the XBOX game sold so poorly and generally sucked.

At least, that's why I would have cancelled it.

Excellent choice of pictures. Looks like someone suffered massive damage.

After Blue Dragon 360 was such a disappointment, this was inevitable.

Such a disappointment to who? 78 Metacritic is a pretty good score for any game let alone a RPG. Check the message boards for people who actually own the game and you will see most people like it a lot.

It will probably sell more copies than there are 360's in Japan. If it does, then it will be a 100% fact that Japan just doesn't like ANYTHING on the 360, except Ace Combat 6.

i think its that they just dont like game American in general. not just 360. theres an exception every now and then but i think that's what's goin on.

anyway, rather than do two post, this kinda upsets me since Blue Dragon was one of the few 360 games that i actually wanted to play. a DS version woulda been perfect for that since i own a DS. well "delayed indefinitely" doesnt necessarily mean "canceled" so they have left me that ray of hope lol.

I don't buy this. Modern Japan doesn't have that much of a bias against American companies. Apple is huge in Japan. My girlfriend bought an issue of Japanese Vogue for research and there were almost no Japanese people in it. American celebrities and cultural adaptation is big in Japan. I think the issue is that the XBOX360 simply doesn't provide them enough of what they want.

Just to be clear, Jeux France isn't saying that the game is delayed indefinitely (i.e. cancelled), they're saying that the release is pushed back with no new release date given (i.e. the game is coming out, just not in March).

So is this going to span multiple cartridges?

Yeah, I don't even know the math to it, but 3 DVD = over 9000 cartridges!

False... considering there are microSD card readers compatable with SDHC which can fit neatly into the DS's cart slot, the storage is theoretically much larger than a DVD.

I hope that this comes out eventually. Blue Dragon for the 360 wasn't a bad game, but it definitely needed some fine tuning. Seeing as they couldn't just directly port the game from the 360 to the ds because of controls, graphics, etc., hopefully this will give them and excuse to polish the game. This is something they should have done in the first place before they released it on the 360.
