Double Fine drops new mini-game 'My Game About Me'

There are plenty of games about heroes doing heroic things like saving kingdoms or talking to a girl for a long time about her favorite movies and then killing a giant robot weapon. Sadly, there just aren't that many games about the sort of things everyday folks do, like eating soup or trying to stay asleep. For us common masses, there is Double Fine's new mini-game: My Game About Me, created by staffer Nathan "Bagel" Stapley.

Set up as sort of an Olympiad of Mediocrity, MGAM is one of the oddest games we've seen since ... well, since Epic Saga: Extreme Fighter. Give it a whirl, you'll see what we mean.

Wow.
Just... wow. I like the idea of developers like Double Fine putting mini games on their site. It's even a little Valve/Portal-like, isn't it?
But this game is just... well, it's just not special.
It's incredible UN-special.

Apparently I'm awesome at sleeping (the only platinum medal I could get). I can't say I'm surprised ;)

I can tell this is an old Atari 2600 game just from that screenshot. I can't remember the name of it unfortunately. It was obscure, but fun. You basically control a mouth on the right side of the screen with food flying towards it from the left. Don't eat the purple pickles! That's a gameplay tip and a life lesson.

haha the 2600 game was "FastFood" I thought of that game when I saw this too.

Thank you! I was thinking it might have been Fast Food after I submitted my message but I wasn't certain. I really liked that game. I hadn't thought about that game in ages.
