Can't they just add a n00b difficulty setting like they did with Black? I didn't mind running around that with a pink ribbon on as long as I could finish the game without throwing my controller through the TV.

Basically:

They added regenerating health to the game for multiple reasons.

One is to make the game more appealing to those of us who got our ass kicked while playing the first.

Two is for immersion reasons. Itagaki felt that having to go into menus to use health potions pulled people out of the game too many times, and it hurt the games total immersion.

He does mention however that you can't regenerate ALL your health like in first person shooters. So for example if you take 50 points of damage you can only recover 25 points of health (This depends on difficulty settings)

I will play the hardest difficulty that they give to me. it being easy would be lame for me cuz I want it to be a challenge and not a breeze like NG black is. I think they will have anther ninja dog mode.
