Spore will launch simultaneously on Mac and PC later this year, reports Cnet. An official announcement from EA is expected today out of MacWorld where EA will apparently preview the everything-sim on – you guessed it – Macs. As with EA's previous PC-to-Mac titles, TransGaming technology will handle the conversion process. Spore is expected to be one of several EA games targeted for simultaneous release this year.
"[We] think the Macintosh user is somebody who is, typically, a creative individual," said EA Maxis VP of marketing Patrick Buechner, "Part of the appeal of the Mac is that it allows you to do creative things very easily. And we think that lines up very closely with what you can do with Spore ... So it just feels like a natural place for Spore to be, and we're thinking about it up front rather than as an afterthought."

Those virtual OSs (Parallels) don't work for games alot of the time, trouble with drivers and such.
I might reinstall OSX and try again sometime today, the reinstall will probably help.

I guess this is good because it makes competition, but I guess this will make lots of retards switch to macs now that they have some games.
Guy1:Hey look guys Mac has games now, we should totally switch.
Guy2: But it sucks as an OS as well, what about getting THOUSANDS of user created programs amongst other things? If you want productivity why not use Linux and Windows?
Guy1: Man, because Al Gore uses a Mac. GLOBAL WARMING GLOBAL WARMING

Shag, we all know you're just poking fun of Mac users because you are one of those pot-bellied, glasses-wearing, spreadsheet-loving, corporate stiffs. You obviously can't speak badly accented Japanese, pull off wearing week old dirty clothes, or co-star in the next Bruce Willis movie.

That's odd. I'm an artist, a musician with my own album out, a game designer and a media lecturer at my college. I eat, breathe and shit creativity and I'm exclusively a Mac user.
Same can be said for my peers. There is truth in the original quote since Macs really do have a better workflow environment for the creative industry and individuals. I've yet to spot a little chav buying a Mac or any of the uneducated or underclass.

Macfags pwn PCfags in the creative department. Just like Linuxfags pwn both in being nerdy. And PCfags pwn themselves with a shitty OS.
Also, seeing as how I'm on here, leaving this comment. Just know it's not through any computer at all. Nope, telepathic powers.
/end stupid sarcasm

Well, James, you're sure reinforcing Wing's assertion that Mac users are elitists.
"I've yet to spot a little chav buying a Mac or any of the uneducated or underclass." Not only are you drawing your identity from the brand of computer you use, but you're proud of who *doesn't* use your brand.
Trust us, we don't want to associate with you either.

Ah I see, it's alright for non-Mac users to have a pop at the Mac crowd, but vice versa and it's forbidden? There's also a stereotype image of the underclass too before you go thinking it's one big one way street.

I don't care who you are, elite, 1337 or not, but this is how it goes:
Macs are easy to use.
PCs can build nuclear bombs.
Linux can build nuclear bomb factories.

I wonder if those new 1799 USD Mac laptops can handle Spore.

Good to hear. I just won't go near a PC any more. Surprised the viruses haven't transferred to humans.
oh it has.
The RAGE virus.
I also hope they make a 3rd film to that.

This time when he comes out of a coma, he's already dead. It's old-school zombie versus new-school RAGE zombie in the ultimate showdown!

The end of 2008 is likely to be a spectacular time for gaming if both Spore and StarCraft 2 get released. Of course both are only guesses...but man on man. That would be the end of my social life altogether...

I love how people have a death wish for Mac users for no reason. Macs are fantastic, if could afford a new computer of any kind(not even some cheap ol' $500 PC) I'd get one. The Macbook Air & Mac Mini are rather lame but everything else they have out is great.

I could afford a mac but I'd let Steve jobs ram a red hot poker up my ass rather than be forced to buy one.
