Twisted Metal: Head On - Extra Twisted Edition stuffed with features
Two things you might not have known about David Jaffe: He likes ridiculously long game titles (a colon and a dash? You have outdone yourself, sir), and he also loves bonus features in games. This is why Twisted Metal: Head On - Extra Twisted Edition for the PS2 features a wealth of new content not seen in the PSP version.
The included content includes new levels, several of which were originally designed for Twisted Metal: Black, access to an online soundtrack, an art book, a 30-minute making-of documentary, a new "Sweet Tour" mode, and ending footage originally shot for the first Twisted Metal game. Oh yeah, and the port of the PSP game is in there too, with an improved framerate and textures.
Considering the game will retail for $19.99 USD, that's a whole lot of content included. TM:HO-ETE is scheduled for a February release in the States.

Up, sign me... now!
*wonders if this will support four player splitscreen... if so, imagines how blazingly fast PS3 will make it since TM:B runs with nary a hiccup

They still launch Twisted Metal games?

The Twisted Metal franchise is one of my favorite. I wish they'd release one on the PS3.

I would buy a PS3 today if they announced a Twisted Metal game was coming for it.
Who am I kidding, with Blu-Ray in it's current position it's only a matter of time and money before I buy a PS3.

"Didya hear? SWEET TOOTH's back!" o_o
Er, anyway... this sounds like a nice bargin purchase; though like the others, I eagerly await a sequel on PS3. Perhaps even 60-player online like RESISTANCE2? XD

similarly to the guy posting before you, I too would buy me a PS3 if they announced Twisted Metal with 60 players online for it...
60 Twisted Metal players online would lie within the definition of "berserk" in a dictionary.

OMG that would be awesome. Imagine how crazy that would be to have 60 players in TM vehicles on a Warhawk sized map. You could even make typical team based games like team deathmatch. Even "just" a 32 or 40 player game would be awesome.

You'd have to balance it out. Otherwise you'd get a bunch of people kill stealing like they did on Twisted Metal Black Online. Once they introduced a points system, it got much better but it's still annoying to watch your kill get credited to someone else who shows up with a couple power missiles after you've frozen your foe.

I really hope they're working on a ps3 twisted metal. Still my favorite series.

On the PS blog, Jaffe said that people who are awaiting a next gen TM game might find something of interest buried deep, deep within this game's bonus features. So uh... TM for the PSTriple confirmed!!

I want to play this, but not alone. Unfortunately I don't think I could convince anyone to play it :(
umm....hello??? @ Jan 15th 2008 6:24PM
60GIG PS3 FTW!!!!!!!!!!
I'll be picking this game up since it will work on my fully BC PS3. TM2 and the original TM still remain the best in the series so far IMO. Black was also good. TM3 was very questionable. $20 for this is a no-brainer.
