With the EA sci-fi space thriller Dead Space still a ways away, you'd hardly expect anyone to be talking about sequels ... or would you? Eurogamer spoke with EA's Glen Schofield, who intimated that the company would love to make more games in the series and that the "rich back story and universe" could easily be injected into future games. Beyond the somewhat expected business talk, a few details about the game have been revealed as well. First of all, in addition to exploring a space ship, players will visit a planet and even spend some time space walking. Zero gravity in empty space is already scary enough without evil monsters lurking around, isn't it? Also, the game will feature in-game cut scenes å la Half-Life 2 and an upgrade system similar to BioShock. Another thing borrowed from those two games: don't expect a multiplayer mode. The game won't have a traditional HUD either, opting instead to have all needed information on the player character himself. Finally, a demo is expected before the game launches later this year.
