Famitsu: Bionic Commando remake bound for XBLA, PSN
According to information published in a recent issue of Famitsu magazine (translated by IGN), Capcom plans to release a 3D update of Bionic Commando on Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network in Japan this Spring. That would be the Famicom classic featuring Hitler, mind you, not the forthcoming corn-rowed franchise revival bearing the same name and the same multifaceted appendage.
Initial details suggest that "Bionic Commando: Master D Revival Plan" will feature 3D graphics, a simultaneous two-player mode and an undoubtedly tenuous "connection" to the new Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 game. IGN also presumes that the gameplay will remain of the side-scrolling variety, making Master D Revival Plan akin to Capcom's criminally unappreciated PSP Mega Man remake, Mega Man: Powered Up.
We've contacted Capcom's US office to learn more.

Oh, more purposely misspelled and grammatically awkward pictures.
How clever.

Oh come on, that meme has at least another month or two left in the tank.

Jesus Christ, Capcom...throw us Wii owners a freakin' bone here, at least.
We don't even get the crappy remake?

Sign the Go Nintendo petition. Capcom specifically stated they were interested in doing something with the new Bionic Commando on the Wii if there was significant interest in it.
The NES remake could be a Wii Ware title or part of a "special edition" of the retail disc if the space limitation hinders it.. though since XBLA titles still need to be 150MB or under for certification, it could probably be a Wii Ware title.

I rather have Bionic Commando in the XB360 but if there is a single game I want for the Wii from capcom is a new Viewtiful Joe.I would sing that petition 3 times and the Dead Rising sequel petititon Over Nine Thousand Times.

Harf harf, you said Wii and Bone in the same sentence.
DAR.

My mouth has been open for a while. Occasionally, I put a Cadbury Mini Egg in there, but it ends up just sitting there, because my mouth doesn't close. Wow.
@Princess Skittles: Kudos, I found it awkward too.

Sweet, watching Hitler's head explode in 3D should be at least 1 dimension even sweeter!

It would be something like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z1ThC0Fxa40&feature=related

Megaman powered up was such a Master piece,I used to play that game for months.I believe is even better than NSMB.
Anyhow I can't wait to see Hitler head exploding in full HD.
Knoxximus @ Jan 16th 2008 5:15PM
Well, outside of an actual new side-scrolling sequel, this is everything I'd hoped would happen for the possible Wii version. Consider me satisfied!

That guy looks like John C. McGinley. You may remember him from such films as Office space... and from scrubs...
colin @ Jan 16th 2008 6:38PM
i was thinking the same thing ...
Knoxximus @ Jan 17th 2008 12:31AM
He was in The Rock with Cage, Connery, and Harris too.
umm....hello??? @ Jan 16th 2008 6:16PM
sounds cool....lemme know when it comes out on a disc, though. DRM FTL!! until then, I still have the original BC for the original NES.
BPM64 - The Second Attack! @ Jan 16th 2008 9:58PM
Wait... Master D Revival Plan? Wouldn't it be Hitler Revival Plan, since this was taken from Famitsu (and in the JP version, you fought Nazis)?
fyreblazer @ Jan 16th 2008 10:15PM
...but will you be able to jump?
tyetheczar @ Jan 17th 2008 9:02AM
I think it would be better for Capcom to have all of the things which were omitted from the US version on the NES. Including keeping references to Hitler and Nazis, oy.
