Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword unsheathed on March 25

Nintendo's latest release schedule has cut through the fog of ambiguity and pinned the arrival of Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword to the pleasingly specific date of March 25th. We only had "March 2008" to go on before and have thus avoided wasting 24 days of the month scouring shelves and phoning overly smug store clerks.

Though Tecmo has told us that the shipping date may change if the final code isn't approved in time, it's the one they're currently targeting like... whatever ham-fisted Ninja metaphor we could work into this sentence. Wow, NG and Okami on the same day. I know what I'll be doing that weekend... that is, if I can't pry myself away from SSB Brawl and GTA IV... aw hell.

I just downloaded the demo today from a DS demo station, and damn, is it awesome. I really have to applaud Team Ninja for making such an awesome action game that works in vertical mode.

Damn it, Okami has been screwed twice now. The first time it was just too late in the PS2 life, now it's on the same day as Ninja Gaiden DS, a couple weeks after Smash Bros and most likely closely preceded by GTA 4 and maybe just before Ninja Gaiden 2. Damn it, I'm so sorry Okami :(
